hah, like most game site need an excuse, look how many articles on here have the pic on the front page of a pair of breasts, when nine times out of ten the article has nothing to do with breasts, and the tenth out of ten is usually an article about "sexy cosplayers" or "which game characters are sexier".

It's not meant to be a proper, researched and rational argument. Surely you didn't all miss that part? If you disagree, join in with the adult conversation instead of name-calling. The latter just makes you look as bad as the author.

I don't agree with IGN's list either, or their "geeking out" feature, but it's just an echo of what's been popular before, and they're a site trying to make money. You know as well as I do, fellow readers, that certain sites on N4G would get absolutely no exposure without ripping cosplay pictures off of Google Images and reposting them as an article. It's unfortunate that the readership makes these popular, but there it is, and where the hits are, so go the for-profit sites.

It's also good to note that they've been up to this for a while. "Babes" had been a page at IGN for many, many years. It's good that people are voicing their opinions about this, but rants like this should get to the core of the argument, not just a one-article dent in the periphery.

The fact that you make a completely unconnected and uncalled for reference to rape that is in no way, shape, or form portrayed in the article is insulting to anyone who knows someone that has actually been victimized by it. I totally hear you on the sexism thing. No doubt about it. But calling someone a rape encourager is jumping to a whole separate level and should absolutely not be a phrase that is thrown around lightly.

While I can totally agree with IGN being pretty sexist, take a look at the target audience. It's like watching a commercial for a child's toy and being upset that the commercial is too childish.

If you're upset because 'you're' the target audience, well...that's the state of gaming. As a female gamer, I agree that it sucks that women are objectified like this, but seeing as the vast majority of core gamers are men who like looking at attractive women, you really have to grin and bear it. Sure you'll always know that you're 'above' buying the t-shirt because a lady with a nice rack advertised it to you, and that's cool, but this kind of stuff will only get worse if this no longer sells as the industry pushes harder to reach the core demographic.

I had a feeling that IGN loved them for modern stuff but I had a feeling retro content was getting pushed to the backburner as John had started a comparison series of games that launched on both PS1 and Saturn but the video never received a part 2 like planned

Every Digital foundry article is the same boring ass, dry, stat comparison that only weirdos, who don’t actually play the games they buy, obsess over. I’ve no idea why they have such a good reputation.

Really enjoy DF and genuinely believe they’re a league ahead of 95% of the gaming content on the internet. They’re clearly top of the game in the industry and have been for a long, long time now.

Hope to see them continue this for a very long time to come.
