NowGamer: "We chat to The Creative Assembly's studio director Mike Simpson about revisiting the Shogun era.
Q: Why Return to Shogun now?
A: Well there are quite a lot of reasons. The simple answer is just because we wanted to. It’s the thing that we as a team collectively wanted to do more than anything else. The reasons for that... there are several. The content itself is cool. We just love the content so we were very keen to go back to it for that reason. We can do so much more with it now than we could ten years ago – we really wanted to have a go at it from that point of view. Finally, for all the reasons why we chose it as a setting for Total War when we first started – it gives us everything we need to make a great game."
