Candace Bailey named new AOTS host.

Kevin Pereira welcomes Candace Bailey as the new co-host of Attack of the Show, starting January 11, 2011. Wish her luck as she embarks on a special vision quest to prepare her for this grueling task.

TreMillz5653d ago

Well i was rooting for Alison but, heck finally a new host.

Mystickay865653d ago

Same. Alison H > Olivia Munn by far.

Anywho, i'm just glad there going ahead with a new co-host change. I just could not stand Munn. Her jokes fall flat, even though I know it's scripted, but each delivery of her "jokes" just falls flat. IMO

jwk945653d ago

What happened to olivia?

CrzyFooL5653d ago

shes on the Daily Show lol

Max Power5653d ago

I think she moved on to The Daily Show with John Stewart.

crxss5653d ago

anyone's better than olivia munn. definitely not a fan. anyways candace looks like she'll do fine at AOTS, maybe i'll start watching again.

ikkokucrisis5653d ago

Thank god, now I can start watching AOTS again!

Bolts5653d ago

Alison should be a shoe in. She has the personality and comedic timing to keep up with Kevin. This Candance Bailey chick is wooden as hell and has no boobs. But mostly she has no boobs.

More importantly G4 need to figure out WTF they're going to be. They need more content outside of crap like Cops and Cheaters.

iceman065652d ago

@fanboi....
did you mention that she has no boobs!?!?!

HolyOrangeCows5652d ago

"but, heck finally a new host"

I think you mean hostess; that's the stuff.

AAACE55652d ago (Edited 5652d ago )

I'll miss Olivia Munn! Last I remembered she was going to do another show, but promised that she would try to stay on AoTs.

I haven't been paying attention to it lately, but I have noticed that the guest host were dressing sexier up until this poing... especially Sara Underwood with that dam shirt last thursday that looked like it was ready to fall off! At that point I was hoping she would eventually be a host... of do the Feed at least!

Now that I know there was a contest, I kinda wish Alison Haislip would have got it. She started looking better during the competition as well. I'm just glad that strange ass comic book chick didn't get it!

HavenOfFear5652d ago

Mystickay like you said her jokes fall flat. Even when I see her on the Daily Show she doesn't seem to fit in. Then again John Oliver was a tad bit weird at first but he got better fast. She also needs to give her Daily Show correspondent persona more of an ego and personality. I'm glad she's not on AOTS because her lack of gaming knowledge was really annoying me because she tried to be a gamer girl but was more about trying to get laughs.

I was expecting them to pick Alison, Kevin and her were a great match up and she knew what she was talking about. The few times I saw Candace, she acted like a complete airhead.

dirtydbz5653d ago

I was pulling for milynn sarley she did a week with kevin about a month a go and she was super funny ( of course I don't think they want anyone who steals kevins thunder too much)
I would perfer alison to Candace also but who knows what they are thinking

thebudgetgamer5653d ago

but direct tv doesnt carry it anymore.

:(

RememberThe3575652d ago

Same. Bit I'd rather have Directv than G4. She's a cutie though, good pick IMO.

The_Nameless_One5653d ago

Doesn't really matter. G4 is a sinking ship.

Megaton5653d ago (Edited 5653d ago )

Geez, that show is still on? Surprised it hasn't been swallowed by Ninja Warrior reruns, or whatever else they're doing these days. AOTS hasn't been good since Sarah Lane left. Munn ruins everything she touches, which is why I hate how she's been getting work on The Daily Show.

toaster5653d ago

Ninja Warrior is the shit though. I wouldn't mind a whole channel dedicated to it.

Megaton5653d ago

I used to like it, but I haven't seen it in a long time. Now they're doing some American Ninja Warrior. I assume it will be terrible.

toaster5653d ago (Edited 5653d ago )

Better than COPS. And yes that American Ninja Warrior thing is stupid. Those guys are actually trying to WIN Ninja Warrior. I'm pretty sure 95% of contestants who enter NW only do it for the first 10 seconds of their intro. I like the guy who came in by a fucking hang glider.

Megaton5653d ago

Yeah, that's the best part. The ridiculous people and their intros.

CobraKai5652d ago

When I start, i always end up wathcing that one japanese show where people go through courses doing only hand walking, or riding a unicycle. I dunno why but it's hilarious Unbeatable something, the name escapes me.

Megaton5652d ago

Unbeatable Banzuke. That one's pretty entertaining as well.

Olivia is finally out! I hope this means G4 understands that being pretty doesnt make up for immaturity and retardedness. Munn is Dunn Sunn!!!

"Be creative 99% of the time" – Glen Schofield on how creativity can help fix AAA industry woes

I don't agree with that. I WISH I could agree with that. But buying habits and customer opinions prove otherwise

We've seen developers in the AAA space try new things and ideas. More often than not, the customers aren't willing to give things a chance, or not enough people buy into the project for it to grow.

Creativity works better in the indie space because the budgets, pressures, and expectations aren't the same.

Scissorman41d ago

it's a nice idea and it worked during the PS2/PS3-era when AAA didn't cost hundreds of millions of dollars. smaller budgets and shorter development time left room for more creativity and more risk. a game didn't need to sell 4 million+ copies to break even. things are different now.

This is the guy who bragged about crunching his staff and having them work through the night. Crunch culture has lost more talent and done more damage to the industry than any other factor. Screw him.
