Another game I really liked was the original Alien game on the Commodore 64, in which you issued instructions to the ships crew. It was tough as nails & scarey. All historians out there should check it out!

Tomb Raider is just an awful game. That was the first game to put sex appeal over gameplay. Shitty games like bayonetta would not exist if it wasnt for that crap.

The fact this list doesn't have Mass Effect 2, Uncharted 2, Okami is bad enough in my opinion. But to have COD:MW2 in there and no Shadow of The Colossus makes this a very silly list.

I know this comes down to preference but seriously. If your going to have an "XX games to play before you die" SoTC is a damn no brainier.

Also did any one else laugh at the article saying that COD:MW2 had a "properly compelling plot, great characterisation". made me lol a bit.

Red Dead Redemption: It sits in my library waiting for me to just finish the last 4 hours of the damn thing, and get the DLC, but, meh.

Mass Effect: No seriously, I have maybe 30 minutes left till the end of the game....Damn I'm pathetic.

Tales of Vesperia: I'm maybe 10 minutes into this one, so maybe over winter break I'll tear this one up.

Far Cry 2: I'm maybe halfway though, but I just don't wanna continue....it bores me.

Assassins Creed 2: I'm kinda working on this one, making slow progress.

I have more....but I'm not gonna bore you with them.

Bubble Bobble does NOT have to be played before you die. Look at it- you can tell that. If you were going to pick a game of that era like that choose The New Zealand Story instead.

Mike Tyson’s Punch Out!! ? Just because it started there doesn't mean it has to be played, certainly not if you're not bothered about boxing games. Platform games, on the other hand, are a staple of videogames to me.

I'll agree with Super Mario World, even Tomb Raider and I am pleased to see Crazy Taxi on there. Never played World of warcraft but it's not my kind of game. Quake 3 would have been a very universal choice to have included - it's still been played online over 10 years after it was released.

I haven't played Mario Kart Wii but I think that Crash Team Racing should have been included in the list.

I haven't played the other games on the list either - from what I've seen Streetfighter IV is a worthy inclusion.

I'd have definitely included Resident Evil (Gamecube remake), Jet Set Radio (Dreamcast version), Banjo Kazooie and Bioshock for the setting of the game. The first Metroid Prime game should be played too. For me, Donkey Kong Country too because it's graphics and music were so great and its gameplay is underrated too.

There's good reason to consider putting a Monkey Island game on there.

Wow. I remember Sonic the Headgog - what a messed-up game! It traumatized most of my friends for life. I guess that's why it was the only Master System game that was banned on 37 planets. I can't believe I played it and still live.
