Resolution: Kinect Adventures review

Resolution's Jennifer Allen writes: Kinect Adventures offers five mini games in all, each fairly shallow and all offering very different levels of quality. There’s Rallyball – a breakout style clone which predictably involves leaping around in all manners of frantic poses in order to bash balls towards blocks located at the end of the alley. It’s fun but also terribly shallow. River Rush offers more involved fun as you control a dinghy with your body – moving side to side so as to dodge the many obstacles ahead of you. As you progress through the rapids course, points are acquired through hitting pins and passing through markers set out on the course. Jumping plays a role here too as courses frequently offer alternate routes that can be taken via jumping at an opportune moment. It’s good fun and – although clearly quite shallow – is a mini game I felt compelled to return to every now and then.

Interesting to see the difference between consoles, when compared to the previous "10 best" article.

This really shows the success of Kinect. It was bundled but so where other games on the competitions console, and none of those made the list in the last article.

360 has 3 times as many exclusives as the last article on the PS3 as well, a testament to the phenomenon that is Halo. Halo 5 has only been out a week but has outsold almost every other current gen exclusive.

Still a lot of the same multi-platform games though.

Edit @Men, that's it 10m

I would have expected much more considering GT has been around since 1996 and halo 2001. Also consider the 100m PS1s, 150m PS2, compared to ZERO MS consoles in the 1996 - 2001 and just 24m Original Xbox.

Could you post the numbers for those games on PS3 and 360 so we can see an apples to apples comparison?

I expected the COD titles for sure. Didn't know that Kinect adventures was such a hot seller though. Pretty interesting.
