JIB: “For those of our readers that are not familiar with your background, could you enlighten us?”
SD: “Certainly. My name is Stuart Duncan, father of 2 boys. My oldest is 5 years old, with Autism. My youngest is just about to turn 3 and does not have Autism.
I am a web developer, my wife is a stay at home mom. I'm really just your average guy, working as hard as I can to provide for my family, struggling to keep up with the bills and playing video games when I find the time. Since my son was diagnosed (2.5 years ago) however, I quickly had to become a psychologist, researcher, student, doctor and so much more. My wife even more so, having to learn therapy treatments, medications and so forth, as she spends more time with the boys than I do.
Now I'm still a web developer, but also an advocate on behalf of my son and children/people with Autism anywhere.”
