I kind of agree, almost all the experiences available for the hardcore on the PS Move is better done on the controller with the DS3.

The only game I have seen that might be some minor advantage is the gladiator mini-game and the table tennis in Sports Champion. Everything else is a different, but a degraded experience. I see no reason to put myself through that.

Right now, if I were to play a motion control between PS Move or Wii, I would pick Wii hands down. Primarily because the games are fun regardless of it's inaccuracy that by the way is pretty much fixed with Wii Motion Plus.

Sports Champion was as dull and lifeless as could be especially with the f'ud controller scheme with one wand. You really need two (and navigator support would make Gladiator so much better). Right now the Gladiator game is essentially on rails!

Sony needs to get on the ball and get me some fun family party games or get me some hardcore experience that isn't better with the DS3! I'm hoping Sorcerer will be good.

I want to mention that Ruse is better with the wand, but not good enough to play. RTS is still king on PC!

That said, the guy supporting the PS Move acknowledging he is overweight is the guy that needs Kinect the most!

Right... Why am I not surprise? I don't hate IGN, but I see this video as another paid promotion by Microsoft. You have the MOVE vs Kinect, while having a guy who completely do nothing just standing there wearing a T-shirt of "I LOVE GeoW". Put that aside, you can hear how desperate the guy sound for speaking the Kinect. It is like he is sucking clays with a straw, and couldn't find any positive thing to talk about. Just like the Kinect, even commenting on it is limited... All he say is "Innovation", they admit that the MOVE is just an Enhance version of the Wiimote, but they can't admit that the Kinect is an Enhance version of the Eyetoy?! OH! IGNorant!

Part of my thought exactly. They gave it to Kinect simply base of "Innovation" which really send me wondering How did it innovates?!? Is motion controlling an Innovation when you have Atari powerglove done that back in the 80s! Same goes with the Eyetoy and the Kinect concept! Most of technology nowadays is none other than an ENHANCEMENT to a late technology. Nothing so far as of yet is an Innovation...! Yet they use that as the main point to Kinect winning? Oh really now..

It is obvious that Kinect is the clear winner. Just look at how it is selling. It is being embraced by just about everyone.

Why is that? It is UNIQUE! I works very well as an emersive (You are in the Game) device. Anyone can just walk up and use it, NATURALLY. Do you even have any idea how many people sit and watch others enjoy and controll characters on screen and would love to join, but just don't because they fear controllers? Now they can have just as much fun as you do when you play KZ.

No one really knows how big Kinect will become. There are other people out there who have been working with motion tech before M$. They could very well come up with something that take what is being done with Kinect to a higher level. Not very likely, but possible.

Try to see things for what they are, instead of wishing on a star.

Maybe the 500 million dollar marketing campaign has a little something to do with it. /s

Well kinect is innovative while the public sees move as wii hd. I like kinect because its different, i already played wii. Kinect has more and better games. The only thing move has is support for upcoming games but id rather use a controller anywys(who wouldnt). Kinect has more potential for future games because they already have tons of new cool kinect only games on the way, move has added support to games where a dualshock works better. The choice is obvious to all fairminded folks.

IGN, like most gaming sites, stop being relevant ages ago. If you need another persons opinion to validate yours then you obviously don't believe in your opinion to begin with. I don't own either but have played both for a fair amount of time. Clearly one is geared towards a narrow market while the other can be implemented to work with anything.

Since when is being compared to the Wii a bad thing? Last I checked Nintendo has sold more Wii's than Sony and MS combined. Isn't that what matters most to the average N4G member? Oh wait, that too is only relevant when it supports individual bias.

Funny how so much weight is put into numbers and the lame bias tabloid media these days. Why is that? These sites say what ever will fan the flames the highest and the fanboys fall for it hook line and sinker every time.

My opinion on these devices is if I am going to use motions I don't want to just go through the motions of playing games. I want to actually feel connected to them. Without a controller (buttons and analog sticks) in my hand I feel disconnected (no that was not an intentional pun) from the games. Therefore Kinect lacks immersion for me "personally".

@Lifendz, if they had picked move I would have either ignored the article or disagreed with them, thats it. Unlike some people who always hate ONLY when they dont like what they hear. Check my history, I dont attack sites for their opinions, at most if I feel a site is biased I link ALL their latest news threads for a given time period and only THEN I point out that they seem to be bias towards a certain platform. Actually theres very few things that annoy me, I have a pretty good tolerance for everthing except crybabies who swear the world has turned on them at the least hint of bad news. Do people really go throw life thinking everybody should always agree with them, IGN did nothing wrong they just made a choice using a half funny skit. It goes both ways, sooner or later they will do one that favors ps3, but what I hate most is that many of the same folks who hate them now will then accept it as gospel.

@Lawliet, I talk about the n4g community being biased against the 360, I show proof with many positive 360 threads being full of known ps3 loyalists trolling almost every positive 360 thread with negative comments, also of course any hint of negative 360 news is filled with the same ones basicly agreeing whole heartedly with the author no matter how suspect the BS is. I dont follow anything ps3 related *consistently, in fact even now theres some not so positive GT5 threads floating around, do you see me in any of them trolling, rarely do I comment on anything specifically related to ps3 only, at times when I do read them I may respond to a member making a ridiculous off topic comment, etc, the only connection I have with ps3 is that Iam a gamer and as I've said before Iam proud owner of a ps3, however I have made it very, very, CLEAR 360 is hands down my favorite console and I feel no shame what so ever saying so, at the same time I don't hate ps3, if I come off a bit harsh sometimes its only because I point out the BS from so many extreme ps3 fanboys, sometimes the medicine is sweeter when you let them taste it for themselves, lol if ya know what I mean. btw dont ever, ever call me UNbiased because I'm not and I have never ever pretended to be....I would hope, I could be FAIR despite my preferences, but of course I'm human and occasionally I fail, but I really don't give a shiii personally what you think. lol

Well I'm gambling that they both fail and conversations about how either can be employed for use with core games is the real joke here. The company I'll consider a winner is the one who comes out of this with minimal loss. Unfortunately for MS they took a huge leap of faith with all those expenses they'll have to post this quarter. Kinect will make or break MS's gaming division. Those words should be sending your face into your palm.

I have know this community for a long time now. I don't usually comment down the section, or even bother with it, I'm just here to see what's new and I'm gone. However at time I do take notice, and if you've been around not just in n4g.com, the whole of internet gaming discussion board during 2004-2007. The ratio back then against the PS3 community is 1:10!

U should have seen how the Xbots trolling and bashing the PS3 everywhere including the PS3 main site with their infamous tag "PS3 GOT NO GAMES", "FLOP GAMES HS,LAIR,HAZE!! SUXOR", "THE POWER OF PS3 THE CELL!!!", "DELAYSTATION", "PSN IS GARBAGE", "LAG ONLINE SERVERS", "BLUE RAY IS NOT NEEDED!", "BLUE RAY FLOP!", "BLUE RAY VS DVD. DVD WON BY MILES!", "PS3 = FODDING". All these happened merely just 3months of the start of PS3's life cycle. But that did not stop Sony, it's an astonishing accomplishment from them to make it this far, they answer the critics, shut them up one after another like squashing cockroaches and win their hearts. These days anyone(Xbots) putting those tags obviously would've get BASH!

The Xbots said all that, but as time passes by the quality of the PS3 start to show great potential differences of other console. BluRay disc succeed, Triple A titles keeps flashing out, PSN community gets healthier and the features start to flourish. SO MUCH have been improved that the Xbots get soured by the second.

If you speak of facts such as "RRODs", "PS3 now have tons of Triple A games", "PS3 graphics already surpassed the Xbox360", "PSN is really good now" and more.. Well, they will never admit, as they are hard done by it! Then they become delusional and out-of-sense. People like POG still think GeoW has the best graphic.. And could argue with you all day long without any proof to his claim. Then link you to bullshots and ask you to compare them to others in-game graphic. Instantly this sort of user became famous, well famous in retard category that every time you see POG without even the need to read his comment, u know he is BS. Disagree and burst bubble, u know u done the right thing.

Anyway, it isn't the community here being biased against the 360 when you look back at those past historic. It only base on one simple fact is that the install base of the PS3 is increasing daily, and people just favoring the PS3 more than the Xbox360 now..

I recall so many times wishing the ps3 had launched when the 360 did just so we could end the ridiculous speculation of "OMG teh power of the cell" will cook you breakfast. The MOVE is not an upgraded Wii. Truth is the technology used on the Wii is the same as Kinect. Infrared lasers. The Wii has 6 of them to denote which way the controller is moving. The Kinect has tons of them to be able to recognize your body in full at many different points. The PS MOVE doesn't use Infrared technology it uses the eyetoy with built in software to recognize in a 3D space where that ball is and also what color it is adds another factor. It's similar in movement but it's nothing like the Wii technology wise.

OT: IGN is doing this kind of thing for hits but in the long run they are hurting their reputation even more. Notice now IGN has done this segment and G4 did a segment with a 7 yr old girl. Is this still Microsoft's $500 mil being used for post-advertising??

I owned the original eyetoy and when it came out it was cool for what it did..it put you in the picture and had you interact with the animations..

What it ended up amounting to was 'swatting fake bugs' and barely got any games

Anyone who ACTUALLY plays Kinect knows Kinect adventures, Kinect Sports, and Dance Central etc. are completely different experiences from the Eyetoy

I own a Move and the closest games to the original eyetoy vision are 'Start the Party' and 'Eyepet'

Wii Sports and Wii Sports resort are why even Champions is compared to the Wii and that is heads and tails the best game experience on Move

The worst part is games like Tiger Woods are horribly integrated with Move..I know because I got burned by it..

The Move needs experiences that are unique to it..which Sorcery may turn out to be a good title

But the true standard by which will be make or break for Move is if it actually make an enjoyable experience out of Killzone 3, because if the DS3 is still the far and aweay the best experience to play FPS then the rumblings are going to start like 'what's the point'.

I think dedicated Move enabled FPS servers is a start in the right direction..but again if DS3 rules the day..Move may suffer in the long run

But at the end of the day..Both are still alternatives from the Wii that we didn't have before

Go look at the original Eye Toy tech demos on youtube. It was doing the same stuff that move, wii, and kinect are doing right now.

No, Wii is rip off from the Move becouse Sony was allready busy to make it better, they can even released before Nintendo Wii came out, but they know the have make it just better.

Second, Nintendo have to paid for the use of this tech, Sony not and Microsoft have to buy that rip off eyetoy kinect.

At least people don't pull out shit like "OMG, it's so fuking new and innovative that you've never experienced before" when talking about Move.

Guys regardless of who had and showed the idea off first, Nintendo beat them to the punch when they introduced it to the market. Point is those 76Million Wii owner are not going to now that nor are the average PS3 owner and average consumers. They will just go based off of which one came first.
