I really hope MS jump on this one. I'm not much of a racing fan but I did love the PGR series. Plus MS could use more 1st party studios.

Why you would purposely not want a company to start putting it's best back up after faltering around for a couple of months, is beyond me.

PGR is Bizarre’s baby and in my opinion nobody could do it better.

I also remember reading a comment on another site suggesting giving them Crackdown. I don’t know if that’s the sort of project BC would be attracted to, but I really like the sound of it.

We all know microsoft lacks in first-party studios so i think its a good thing they need this This is how sony manages to get great exclusives and francises from having first-party studios. If microsoft had equally shared first-party studios as sony then i'll get an "xbox360" this will be a long way off though.

I love arcade racers and i have plenty of arcade racing titles but the ones that i really finnish to the end were the FLATOUT titles ( PC and 360),Need for speed hot pursuit (PS2) and all the PGR titles( xbox and 360 )!I really hope PGR5 gets made by BC!

Didn't Microsoft already let Bizarre get away? They don't seem interested in owning developers. They even let Bungie leave.

While I agree that Microsoft would greatly benefit from the purchase, I think it would most likely be another company like EA or maybe even Nintendo or shudder to think, Apple or even Google or even Sony maybe even Disney or WB to look at also buying a studio like BC. So i would not count out any company looking to purchase them.

putting them up for Public bid is one of the thing's that Microsoft may not put more money into purchasing a Game development company when as long as the development house goes 3rd party anyway they have a strong chance the game will go to their system anyway.

If you look at the fact that right now Microsoft get's quite a great number of 3RD party games already, An that's without needing more 1st party, remember every 1st party Studio come's with it advantages an some disadvantages. the advantages more talent, experience..but a big disadvantage is OVERHEAD resources that have to be spent.

Microsoft may be expected to buy it, but maybe Microsoft investor's may look @ why Activision is selling them an what the asking price and what the Investor's @ Microsoft may be willing/or not willing to spend on a purchase.

Bizarre used to be a 2nd party developer for Microsoft and they never owned them other than having a exclusive deal with them to makes games exclusively for their gaming plattform.

When Bizarre was swallowed by Activision and made into making multiplattform Microsoft did not care so much cause their games would also be made for their plattform and in this period we have seen the critically acclaimed Blur and some other titles.

This time around i think it would be wise for Microsoft to make them 1st party developers so they can widen their list of exclusives games something i know is not a move welcome by the SDF cause they fear the bankaccount MS have.

I know i will probaby get alot of disagrees on my statement but that only underline the fear the SDF have.

Bizarre is one of the developers that really made the Xbox 360 for me with Project Gotham Racing 3/4 and Geometry Wars. PGR 3 introduced me to a great online community and a fantastic racing experience that really made my jaw drop at times. PGR 4 was great and graphically pretty impressive. A lot of the community features they had were pretty cool and definitely kept my interest in the game for a long time.

Geometry Wars introduced me and many others to Xbox Live Arcade, it really strengthened my faith in the service and motivated me to buy titles.

Essentially, you can't have Xbox with Bizarre Creations among others so I think this is a purchase Microsoft should definitely commit to.

Im not saying micro buying more studios is a bad thing, only that its far from a neccessity, in other words if they are willing to invest the time and money they could easily secure 3rd party exclusives. Owning Epic wouldn't make Gears any better because Epic would still be using the same resources backed with the same budget. In essence any dev/game given the same time, talent, and financial support will make the same game whether or not they are "owned" by micro or sony. Ideally I believe micro should seek to own a few more studios because a healthy mix between owning talent and hiring the best talent available would likely work best, given that there is a huge financial and creative upside and downside involved with studio ownership, I mean yes sony owns alot more studios but some in terms of game portfolios have delivered, substantially less than others but you still pays their salary regardless. Let's not even talk about how Rare has performed given their large price tag, then maybe you can understand micros reluctance to buy up studios.
