Coming soon to a bookstore near you: Xbox 360 For Dummies.
Despite Microsoft's efforts to make the Xbox 360 console as user-friendly as possible, the bigwigs in Redmond are discovering that 360 owners might not be the sharpest knives in the drawer.
In an effort to take new users by the hand and gently guide them through the 360's garden of delights, Microsoft will begin shipping new Xbox 360s with a welcome video installed directly on the hard drive (or on a DVD-ROM, in the case of the stripped-down Xbox 360 Core), which will automatically play the first time the console is powered on.
The 20 minute tutorial will introduce the console's basic functions and features to users. It's slated to start showing up on new Xbox 360s on sale this fall, and will likely be available for download through Xbox Live as well.

Bioware writes: "Like you, we’ve heard the rumors lately. You’ve made it clear you care deeply about what’s next. So let’s start by setting the record straight: the next Mass Effect game is in development, and EA and BioWare remain committed to telling more stories in this universe."
I expected nothing and I'm still disappointed
Like with Fallout, it's starting to feel studios are using TV / Film adaptations when they have no game info to talk about.
So the TV show will take place after the OG trilogy. I wonder which ending they’ll use?
Should’ve just posted a picture of an Elcor saying “regretfully, we have nothing to share.”

Remakes of the campaigns featured in Xbox Game Studios' Halo 2 and Halo 3 are currently in development, according to a new rumor.
That's Microsoft's gaming division for you...kill off developers making new ip while trying to capitalize off some long lost glory that has no hope of ever being what it once was thanks to recent decision making favoring unrealistic profit goals and greed. What a joke.
So what’s their solution to having multiplayer? Wait until Halo 7?
That was one of the most memorable parts of Halo..
Why not just port the MCC? 🤔 That was the easiest layup ever and you completely missed it
I wonder if Microsoft will port Reach over to Playstation I quite enjoyed that game. I played Halo 3 and it was not bad I have Halo 2 on the OG Xbox I just need some cables to hook up to my tv to play it.

GTA IV turned GTA into a more grounded franchise where storytelling and immersion became just as engrossing as wrecking up open-world sandboxes.
but the question is who's gonna buy it?
I know the Japan PSN has a somewhat tutorial for the PS3 but we really need a full-blown tutorial in video form.
Edit: I filed this under 'article' instead of news by mistake. Sorry, my bad.
...than a pre-installed/downloadable video since folks who don't notice there is an entire blade devoted to Media aren't likely to notice there is a video on the HDD.
Of course, those are the same folks who don't bother to read the setup instructions so they are just as likely to cluelessly ignore a DVD labeled "Play me!"
Not sure how much handholding you can do for the congenitally clueless...
But at least they're trying...
