As the PlayStation 3's premier first-person-shooter franchise, Killzone invariably finds itself at the vanguard of the console wars, often compared with Xbox 360 exclusive Halo. Curious as to how this affects developer Guerrilla, Destructoid asked Steven Ter Heide how he feels about the comparisons, and found out that the producer doesn't feel much at all.

PS1 era was full of great RPGs, PS2 was racing generation i would pick top 200 and even that would be just a fraction.
30 is way too low over the entire history of Playstation, I just wouldn't be able to narrow it down that much, I would pick 100 at least.
Yeah...really odd list. I get that it is personal preference and I love most of the games listed, but my list would definitely be different. I agree though, it would be incredibly difficult to come up with just 30.

I have yet to play Burning Shores as I just started Forbidden West (bought at launch, just unwrapped last weekend LOL) and playing on PS5.
man...I still can't believe the graphics especially now I'm playing it on my LG OLED. that graphics and with stable performance backing it up, GG really is the master of their craft!
32.7M sales in the Horizon franchise! With 8.4M coming from Forbidden West alone! Truly a hugely successful game and franchise as a whole. Looking forward to Horizon III

It's been 3 games, this includes Call of the Mountain. Also no, its a great improvement over HZD.

Yooo, when I first saw that Killzone 1 footage at E3, my friends my brothers and I were like, Holy shit! When it came out, it didn't look exactly like it, but we sunk so many hours into 1 & 2.
I even liked Killzone: SF, it was a spectacle to look at, and even today it looks good. I hope they make a new one. Can you imagine how that will look, and they can get some modern FPS pointers from Bungie.
Such a wonderful studio. They deserve all their success.
The Decima Engine is absolute 🔥 I'm just mad they have abandoned Killzone.
They are probably working on mutiple projects. One of them is Horizon 3, but another is a multiplaer game and probably somehting else.
One has better graphics. The other everything else.
Killzone 3 is my 2011 FPS, also Resistance and Socom look fantastic. So many top-notch exclusive shooters on ps3.
Why would they be bothered? Halo is one of the best Fps in the last 10 years. It simply means KZ is that good
I think a comparison between Killzone and Halo is an insult to Halo. How can you compare a franchise that has virtually no fanbase, no longevity, no real hype, no identity and needed to re-invent it's self because the first game flopped. How can you compare that to a cult classic like Halo?
I mean seriously, it's like using Uwe Boll and Steven Spielberg in the same sentence.
They aren't bothered because they know that K3 looks 10x better than Halo: Reach, That's why. :)
