I was thinkin a while back, i remember usin this crappy Motorola headset i got with a mobile phone a few years back, it wasnt very good so i decided 2 buy the PS3 headset

It came and i started usin it and thought *hold, it STILL sounds crappy* i could hear the crappyness perfectly, it wasnt coz my headset was crap its coz the other players headsets were crap

My point is, they could hear me really well (coz the PS3 headset ist too bad) but when they talk (coz there headset sucked)

So theres sum sort of flaw in buyin a headset

Hardbladestone5694d ago

They need to bundle it with GT5

Punch-o5694d ago

Yeah also with PS3 consoles.

Oner5694d ago

@ Hellsvacancy ~ You probably didn't have the High-Quality (HQ) mode enabled/done properly.

Beefstew4u5694d ago (Edited 5694d ago )

I'm sure he had it set properly. Same thing happens to me. My ps3 headset sounds great to other people, but the people I play with are using either old USB headsets, or the craptastic one that came with Warhawk. They all just sound horrible on a higher quality headset.

Oner5693d ago (Edited 5693d ago )

Really? How could you be sure? You absolutely know for certain what this person has and how they have used it? I have seen no end of question on the PS Forums and other places as well where people have absolutely no clue on how set up HQ mode because the instructions don't even say how to do so in the box. I personally have no issues with clarity on my end for either speech or hearing when using my headset.

Thatguy-3105694d ago

I'll just stick to using my eyetoy idk i hate having things in my ears while playing but who knows maybe ill buy it for the noise cancellation feature

TheBalloMan5694d ago

Screw that - we want more Turtle Beaches on the PS3 - you know, ones that DON'T BREAK ALL THE TIME!!!!

Fishy Fingers5694d ago

Decent headsets, I use my Tritton Pro, they're pricy, but one of the best for sound quality and they work on all the platforms.

I'm just not a fan of blu-tooth and single sided (on your head, one ear only) sulotions, they hamper the actual game audio and just dont seem to work out that well for me. But they're pretty cheap and do the job for the most part, use it with your phone is a plus to (looking like a blu-tooth douche aint much of a plus though).

Ares84PS35694d ago

I've been useing it a lot so it's not like I pick it up every month or so.

But I'll be getting this one for sure. Looks awesome.

DeleteThisxx5694d ago

That thing is ugly. The original is so much better looking and certainly matches the PS3 better.

crillinFLIP3375694d ago

Glad I bought mine before the redesign... new one looks really ugly.

SkyCrawler5694d ago

it would be better if they bundled headsets with the console.

Ares84PS35694d ago

They need to boundle it with the console.

BulletToothtony5694d ago

not trying to sound dumb but i like that not everybody is yelling at once on psn, makes the difference between psn and xlive, can u imagine a bunch of 13 y/o talking crap, no thank you,

and i only add people w mics to my friendslist so i don't have a quite lobby on cod.. is all about your friends fellas

Ares84PS35694d ago

Most games have a mute option.

I hate COD lobbies. They are very loud and I had the bad luck of meeting some of those 12-13year olds who constantly question your sexuality.

It's sad really. That is one reason why I loved BFBC2. I could only hear the people in my squad....such a genious solution to the issue.

Baka-akaB5694d ago

the problem with mute option is that , often , no option allow you to mute at once everybody .

Instead you are loosing precious time , especially in the cod type of games , filtering the noise .

Captain Tuttle5694d ago

If you want to mute everyone just take off your headset. Problem solved.

_Q_5694d ago

Just saw the earpiece...Sold

The old one was painful after about an hour. This new one looks worlds better. Can't wait. This one should definitely bundles with some shooters. A KZ2 pack? Anything.... It could bring back Warhawk lol...

Look I know VIII has its issues and all that but how on earth can the do big anniversary events with new artwork and merchandise for VII, IX and X yet VIII got sweet f*** all.

They could have given it something during its 25th anniversary yet all it got was a single Happy Anniversary post on their social media.

solideagle43d ago

they should know that we are OG fans of VIII as it sold truckload as well. not as much as VII or X. I personally didn't like IX but X and VI are my personal fav.

Shadow Hearts 2 covenant is another game I love. I hope one day someone can make remake, I would be delighted

Final Fantasy VIII is great and you are always the first to defend it in the comments

"Gaming’s Biggest Fighting Franchise"

Press X to (seriously) doubt.

DarXyde50d ago

Underrated comment. I used to hate that game so much that any time my siblings asked me to play it, I just picked Hom and shut myself down mid-match.

Soy51d ago

And then MK1 killed it again.

15 years went by so fast. I remember playing through the story mode at launch.

PlayStation legend Shuhei Yoshida says Jim Ryan fired him because he didn't listen to him

Why did Sony push Shuhei Yoshida out of his role leading PlayStation's first-party games? He'd overseen some huge successes. Well, apparently, he didn't listen.

Yeah I can see that for sure. Shuhei Yoshida should have been in charge not Jim Ryan.

Cacabunga52d ago

It should be free highway for him now.. but Sony are too stupid to see this, especially that moron Hulst

S2Killinit51d ago (Edited 51d ago )

Wtf why all that anger. PlayStation is dominating on every level. Besides I think there is a little more to hiring a CEO than just who is available. Its not like its a athlete your team wants to buy.

neutralgamer199251d ago

S2Killinit

live service failures, chasing trends, closing studios. yes dominating

Cacabunga51d ago

Sony is Dominating because competition is not existing. Compared to previous gens this is the poorest in terms of software offerings.

Last gen we got Uncharted 4 Lost Legacy and TLOU2 from ND alone.

This is so far a remasters gen, with no competition to lift up the quality

1nsomniac51d ago (Edited 51d ago )

..."PlayStation is dominating on every level"....

...Really???

PlayStation are soon heading into a new generation in the not to distant future. They currently have the worst customer satisfaction they've ever sustained as a company. The company is heading for a huge crash while at the same time they'll need to be planning how they are going to try and win back that favour and the build up to their new releases.

Yes financially they're winning but they're going to have to ride out this complete public corporate disaster. No one has faith in the company or the product anymore. They've damaged their public image so much this generation. Greed can kill anyone.

medman51d ago

Hulst is a disaster......

He would've done the same thing and fire Jim Ryan and Shuhei would be the villain. Why?
Because Elite creates the narrative and distraction for gamers, users and citizens.

Outside_ofthe_Box52d ago

More confirmation that Jim Ryan is the culprit for what has happened to Sony. Hulst needs to go too. What sucks is that a lot of the good top heads at Sony are no longer there. I wish that guys that were forced out prematurely by Dumbo Jimbo like Shuhei and Layden came back.

robtion51d ago

Yep. Yoshida was responsible for bringing one of the best games of this generation to playstation (Stellar Blade). He is an actual gamer and is in touch with what gamers want (creative, fun games, not GaaS and agenda pushing). He also seems like a genuinely nice guy if you watch some interviews. Of course they got rid of him.

darthv7252d ago

Makes you wonder if MS even thought about hiring him after Phil and Sarah were leaving. He certainly couldn't make their situation any worse.

Agent7552d ago

Microflop. After Windows XP and Xbox 360, it all went floppy.

S2Killinit51d ago

Floppy 😆
No pun intended

badz14952d ago

Yoshida for President! Jim Ryan was and always be a hack! Sony should get Shu back

Lightning7752d ago

All the gamer/consumer lead heads are gone across PS and Xbox. shuhei gone phil's gone (questionable) but gone. The future of gaming is somewhat uncertain across the board.
