Protogalaxy is a game made by Source Studio Ltd. which has somewhat of a resemblance to the all-time classic arcade game Galaga. Imagine Galaga with a side scroll type of gameplay and in a 3D environment. At initial start up, Protogalaxy can be somewhat confusing to navigate through the menus and jump into the action right away. However, after completing the tutorial it is game on from there on out.
Three awesome indie games that didn't get much press but are definitely worth your time.
Gaming Dead writes: "Source Studio has released a new update for its action indie ProtoGalaxy, available now to download for owners of the game on Steam. The patch brings several new improvements and bug fixes to the title, with focuses on the menu, editor and the game in general."
Source Studio: "We’re working on some new stuff that is completely different from the Alpha Op campaign. We’re planning on putting out some new maps that are more open ended like the credits level, but with unique gameplay styles unlike any of the maps you’ve seen so far. Because of the arcade feel of levels like the credits level, we’re planning on including leaderboards for the new maps."
