While FreestyleGames is working on the new Guitar Hero, it isn't the music series we need. Instead, Tony Nguyen at G4@Syfygames believes that it should've been DJ Hero that rose from the grave.

Unseen64 has delved into DJ Hero: After Party, a game intended to be released on Wii, Xbox 360 and PS3 before it was cancelled by Activision.
I've never tried the DJ Hero franchise, mostly due to the songs not being a genre I actually like.
Neither have I, mixing songs might be interesting though. Maybe I'll give it a try sometime.
I wasn't that keen on the music genre until I played DJ Hero 1. Then I started loving it. That's why I got the sequel. They definitely did an even better job this time around.
