It's funny that there is so much "drama" regarding a few new CASUAL gamer interfaces on the market. These are just kiddy toys, and not for playing more advanced games. I have a Move BTW, and that is what I bought it for...for when the kids are all gathered around to play.

now that may sound strange to hear about that claim, But hear me out..Its more about the ability to Use Kinect not just about the xbox360 but in it's ability of 3D motion connection in many type's
of Device's, not just the Xbox360. I think what many may be overlooking is it's connectivity to Embedded computing platforms not just for the xbox360, add in the PC and Mac connectivity an you have a platform for not just games but also it's use in other fields, like physical rehab, global mapping enhancement.

I think many are quite too quick to judge this before it get's released, will i agree that button's for a control scheme for games is better than no button's at all well it depend's on the game, but for the most part will i think it will be a good product yes do i think kinect will have more of an impact in the non gaming sector than it will for Games in the game sector yes. but only in specific game type's will be less of an impact than other's. physical exercise games will i think be it's strong point more than any other. as for First person shooter's i am very doubtful. but that still does not take away from the fact that Kinect opens the door for many advancement's in the IT sector.

I wouldn't go that far to say Move will 'kick' Kinect into the past but Kinect has some serious limitations that people seem to have forgotten about in the frenzy of Kinect 'working'. Like for instance the lack of feed back and the limited variation of games you seem to be able to play with it. Move owners seem to also have forgotten about the countless tech demos of Move's potential while Microsoft still hasn't actually shown the 'future potential' of Kinect. You are so caught up in the confusion of Oprah, Justin Beber and Ellen and preorders that you have forgotten all these things. So while Kinect might sell better, I believe that Move will turn out to be the better controller. I have seen the Move's potential with my own eyes but with Kinect, I still see Eyetoy's limits and Microsoft's line up has done nothing to prove otherwise. But we will see.

Lets review this after a month or two. The first week after launch the news will be flooded with wild postings from both sides. Lets give Kinect enough chance so that the ordinary folk can get the device in hand. The the embargo will be meaningless.

Expect 100's of YouTube videos of people posting their experience with it.

Would like to see some 1 on 1 comparison with Move in terms of speed, accuracy etc. For example: Quickly drawing a figure "S" in 3d space. Making several sharp diagonal movement with hand / controller with behind-the-player view of the screen.

With some games you can hide the latency / lag / inaccuracy of the device. With a predefined test we will get to know the good bad and ugly.

It's the lag ultimately that will be kinects downfall as far as I can see

I'm just happy to see how good have been getting the video game industry. Before there were infinites discussion about sega vs nintendo now we have ps3 vs 360 and I always take the best part because I allways buy both. I'm happy because I have seen the progress of this industry day by day and always is something interesting to talk about.

But let's try to talk knowing everybody just want to get fun don't take it so seriously .

Move controller was extremely accurate great times back then

That definitely would have been the absolute worst time for stick drift to happen...

I always wanted a true to life surgery simulator for PSVR1. I always knew those Move controllers were precise AF under the proper conditions.

Move was a very accurate device under good conditions. Dr Marks even wanted to open it up for hobbyists and developers to extract more data to do more things. I even seen him use it for space, astronaut like simulations.

Sony always had the tech. They just needed the software to go with it. PS Move limit was not having an analog stick. Which it seems the PS5 controller made up for that.

I would like to see them use PS VR 2 for surgery or something with that eye tracking built in.
