the thing people seem to forget is that move has already shifted around 3 mill worldwide already were as kinect isnt even out on shelves yet and its all just hype as of rite now , lets wait and see next few weeks what happens

Yeah lets ignore the crappy shovelware, enormous effort to play games that already exist and the half a second lag that messes you up. Yes let's jump to sales numbers as usual. I know that is all most of you care about. Which is why you turn a blind eye to Kinect's line up of pure shovelware. But I am not surprised. I already knew that Sony would make the superior device and Microsoft would fool everyone else with half truths and dazzle. Don't worry. Move won't be forgotten. It has already shown it has more potential then Kinect ever will. In time everyone will see that.

The list states "males" for kinect and move, that doesn't make any sense to me unless its ppl buying it for their kids like a few ppl here on n4g are doing.

There is NO WAY in hell thats the demographic for kinect, and the problem with that is it doesn't really grow the industry it just means ppl will buy it for girlfriends with one game she will get bored and its never used again.

The fact that women are actually seeking out the wii and buying it is an impressive achievement imo even tho they buy wii fit and get bored after a week and stick it in the loft.

Time will tell what sells. But the lack of reviews is just crazy crap.

500 million thats a lot of advirtising money it better be a success i think Microsoft Gameing future is riding on Kinect there going all out even if it does pass the Move Sony still got there PS3,PSP, and PS2 plus dozens of games releasing for 2011 but i think it will do good for a few months then Dry out like people who brought the Wii just for Wii fit

Are Sony fans really now complaining that the ad campaign is what is pushing Kinect? Really? I pre ordered mine after E3. I was impressed and saw the potential. To be honest, I still have yet to see a single Kinect commercial. I have seen Move advertised and I see those retarded Kevin Butler PS3 commercials as well as that ethnic kid who screams about the PSP.
Kinect is going to do well because it's fresh and it isn't a blatent ripoff like some other products out there. Anyway at the end of the day games are about fun, people need to have fun with games and after getting the chance to play Kinect I can safely say it is a lot of fun.

ash_divine I am not worried like I said before. First of all Sony will still have their loyalist and first party developers no matter what happens. Second about developers not remaing with Sony, I remember everyone saying that about the PS3 a long time ago and it didn't happen. Third Kinect will never have Wii sales. They don't have the icon games that attract people to the Wii or the full support of their fanbase. And finally by supporting Kinect instead of working on their dwindling line up it pales in comparison to the PS3. They don't even have Gears 3 until much later. I am not 'butt hurt' as they say. Kinect will sell well but just like every year when 360 fans claim that Halo will widen the gape between Sony and lessen the gap between Wii, it never happens. it won't be a 'Wii killer' or a 'Sony destroyer' They can't catch Wii or shake off Sony. When the dust and hype settles Microsoft will still be in second place, just like last generation.

Even if it does sell well, I believe Kinect will see a lot of returns. There are way to many factors that could interrupt how you game with Kinect, and the average non gamer could see them as technical difficulties. I'm sure Kinect will have those too, but lets just say you live by an overpass and the traffic is loud enough to disrupt the voice recognition.

I noticed all of the Kinect demo's are performed in places that have concrete floors. Just wondering how Kinect will work on in an older home where the floors are'nt as rock solid. Will the jumping and running on the spot,dancing an such, be good for the 360 and the disc sratching problem it has? Just a thought...........oh yeah,not everybody has a basement rec room either,just thought i would throw that in.

Well - Move is already at over 3 Million by the time Kinect launches and will most likely continue to do well. So it is most likely 5-6 Million Move controllers by the end of December 2010.

I think it will be a repeat of 360/PS3.Kinect will sell more but Move is better to anyone with a brain.I thought it was all about the games but it turns out advertising is what counts.360 better advertised than PS3 and Kinect than Move so fanboys will not argue about game quality,just sales.Shame.

Move controller was extremely accurate great times back then

That definitely would have been the absolute worst time for stick drift to happen...

I always wanted a true to life surgery simulator for PSVR1. I always knew those Move controllers were precise AF under the proper conditions.

Move was a very accurate device under good conditions. Dr Marks even wanted to open it up for hobbyists and developers to extract more data to do more things. I even seen him use it for space, astronaut like simulations.

Sony always had the tech. They just needed the software to go with it. PS Move limit was not having an analog stick. Which it seems the PS5 controller made up for that.

I would like to see them use PS VR 2 for surgery or something with that eye tracking built in.
