Gametropolis looks at the SNES catalogue and the titles still missing from the Virtual Console.

It's Mario Day! Celebrate with these ten Mario games referenced in the upcoming Super Mario Bros. Movie!

"Super Mario World was one of the launch titles for SNES and it showed what the console was capable of. It remains one of my favorite platformers of all time because of the pixel-perfect 2D graphics, its secrets, and how fun and creative the levels are." - Alex Legard from Video Chums
I love both but I give the edge to Yoshi Island. It improved upon everything I liked about SMW 1. These days I'm more inclined to play Yoshi Island over World.
I love both but Yoshi’s island just edges it for me. The level design the transformations and use of the FX 2 chip is simply amazing.
I always preferred Super Mario World far more. Yoshi just didn't appeal to me in the same way, visually, and gameplay-wise.

The big N is returning to Hollywood two decades after Super Mario Bros, but what with? Here are a few ideas for Nintendo to get started with.
I'd kill to see a CGI-animated re-telling of the story for Xenoblade or Xenoblade X.
Either one is a prime candidate, but X, especially, could make for good material, if they take advantage of the extra storylines for the side characters to flesh out the movie's plot a bit.
Though, since the first Xenoblade already has a pretty coherent story set down, that would probably be the easier of the two choices.
Either way they go, though, my pick is for a Xenoblade-based movie.
Sci-fi like that is always a big favorite for me. [and who knows? Many people might like seeing the Skells or the Mechon animated on the big screen.]
They have a lot of great ideas to work with. Metroid, zelda, kid Icarus, xenoblade to name a few. Please, note more lame super mario movies...
