Mention the word “online” to Dynasty Warriors fans, and ears will perk up. The gaming series, which has grown extensively over the years with several sequels and spin-offs (including the Samurai Warriors and Warriors Orochi series), has had its fans eagerly awaiting the day that it would move its button-mashing heroics to expansive online play for a long time. Now, North American players are about to have their dreams come true as Dynasty Warriors Online – published through Aeria Games – has just begun closed beta testing.

Earlier in the week, Famitsu got the first word on a Ninja Gaiden costume for Musou Orochi 2. While we've yet to get official online media for that crossover, Tecmo Koei has announced another crossover, this time between Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 and Dynasty Warriors Online.

Tecmo Koei has revealed their lineup for Tokyo Game Show 2011.

As the years went by with the console versions of the game and they released Empire Mode. This means they could definitely create an experience with online gaming that would have a lot of depth. That hasn’t happened quite yet but Aeria Games has taken matters into their own hands and have created an online experience that is Free 2 Play that they are constantly improving.
the game is actually fun, I just hate the fact your combo reset after each battle is over.
