Its the same problem we have seen before, even on the updated builds. Some of them look like plastic action figures.

So far we have websites claiming it looks identical on both consoles, websites claiming it looks better on the 360 and websites claiming it looks better on the PS3. Nice.

on an LCD screen has been one of the best looking PS3 titles for day one. This is why I laughed when all the lying xbots on here started blabbering about this looking better on their underpowered console.

this is the first of what will be many confirmations that those of us with a brain inside our skulls clearly see PS3's superior graphics everytime.

ps3 and xbox360 ver of this game is a port of the arcade counterpart. just telling for those whose telling its a port from ps3 to 360

#1.1 this opinion of the game has more to do with art choice or effects choice then one version having better graphics than the other I was wondering what was going on many people have said the 360 version looked better this fanboy tweeking makes it seen like the 360 isn't matching the PS3.

The top is the PS3 verion the bottom is an older build of the 360 version.

The 360 has effects not in the PS3 version. Some will say 360 shiny and others will say better lighting or better sweat effects etc depends on preference.

Dont say well it looks better at home so will the 360 version.

detail and major objects are missing in the PS3 version.

Some will say PS3 dull, lifeless, poor lighting or better more real looking.

And others will say 360 better lighting, better sweat or more plastic.

Some hate the shine on the leather in this game on the 360. To me its more advanced to some it plastic although I'v had Sony fans say Sam Fisher looks plastic-like in DA but when I get is home it just has next-gen sweat effects.

Read the this first before you comment the contributor makes this sound way more than it is.

This game is not even built on the ground up for the PS3. It's a arcade machine port to the PS3 then ported to the 360 months later.

Man I'm just glad that this game is finally on the xbox. This is the premier fighter of any console and I prefer the online matches any day over graphics.

i think PS3 version looks more realistic. While Xbox 360 version looks too 'shiny' . just my opinion. ofcourse online function is more important.

Personally I don't look at their comparisons as it seems nowdays they seem to always favour the PS3 version when in fact, the 360 version looks a bit better. They're Pro Evo analysis just shows that.

So if multiple sources are in contradiction to GS, dont believe GS.

I couldn't see the night time basket ball court stage and that to me was the most impressive part of the game on PS3. The characters looked far too plastic in the PS3 version and people are saying they look more so in this version?

I agree with 1.2, I never enjoyed the series and I don't really think the 360 owners are missing much. Having said that, if you are a fan of the Virtua Fighter at least you get the added benefit of your online service.

They didnt say the PS3 version looked better,they said the Fighters in the 360 version had more shine to them and they looked plastic.The developer for Dead Or Alive always said,he will never make a fighter with shiny Player Models because it takes the Realness out of the game.

I remember that when I had my PS2 and my friend purchased his XBox, there was a difference, from what I saw, in the colors and perhaps brightness of the games. While the PS2 was more of a more "realistic colored games", the XBox seemed to have more bright colors in their games, less realistic, more cartoonish. I think those are unique characteristics for both machines. That was one of the things I enjoyed about playing some games on the XBox because they used more colors and while on some games like Silent Hill 2 seemed to me a better game to play on the PS2 only because of the type of game so the colors seemed more realistic, other games like FIFA(wasn't too realistic at that time) and HALO seemed more fun on the XBox because they used more colors. I do beleive there will be a difference in these two versions of VF5 but it wont be graphics but mostly some extra or edited content and the colors and lighting will be somewhat different as well. I think XBox 360 owners that enjoy fighting games will be able to enjoy a game that was made to suit what the style of the XBox is so it will be a good game for them. Enjoy gamers!

the games do look a little -- I don't know -- like blurry or just basic (bioshock being a big breath of fresh air). But overall this is not the case and I really can't describe it - -however I've heard some call it the HAZE effect.

A/w my friend Matt and I will play these games on his 360 which are fun, but when I put in Motorstorm or even Super-Rub-A-Dub there is a markedly visual graphical upgrade. He even states as much, but amazingly we don't argue -- we just play the damn games despite what all of you haters think. I could go on and say that he is interested in buying a PS3, but that would only start something that will end badly here so I'll refrain. And yes, he's been through the RROD (once) got it back, tried to hook it up in HD mode -- the screen went into some wierd panic attack and flashed Japanese writing on the screen (From the TV I suppose) and one Ring came up on the system. He nearly sh*t his pants and then turned it off, then turned it back on (not in HD mode) and everything was okay after that.

I own VF5 on the PS3 but he doesn't have it on the 360. Maybe I'll ask him to rent it so we can see how they compare. Stay Tuned? =P

as for slight "blurry" image you may see from some games on 360, its probably due to anna(upscaler). try running each individual title at its native rez. despending on your hdtv(i think i saw a pic of your bravia xbr) you will probably get a slightly better image.

Personally I'm angry with Sega for lying to me twice! VF5 was one of the key selling points for me getting a pS3 at launch, because after all, Sega said it wasn't coming to Xbox 360. Next thing you know, bam, it's now coming but won't have online play. Hey, whaddya know? It's now online! If I knew this was going to happen I'd have waited for the 360 version, but thanks for screwjob Sega! Thanks for all of the years of screwing your fans over. The least you can do now is patch the PS3 version so I can play online.

who cares, PS fans got jipped on the online part, but Tekken is where its at anyhow, at least until soul calibur 4

i enjoy tekken DR more than VF5, although the graphics are much nicer in VF5, having said that, the ps3 images shown by POW have been doctored. I have brought my ps3 to friends house and in my own, it looks 100% better than the pix POW is showing.

btw, i know it's dusty but shows you i'm no fanboy.

I love how when a PS3 port has slighty inferior but barely noticeable graphics the xbots deem it a crappy port. But when its the other way around you get the "its barely noticeable" argument.

PPL are starting to use the power of the PS3 with games like HS. I know they have been saying the gameplay is a bit boring but they have also said the game is stunning in its look and scope! Kinda like Lair and Warhawk! These are just the first games that have made some use of the PS3 power and the furture will prove Sony is a true game machine along with alot more things!

I can see myself this time next year walking around in Home, going into the Socom lounge, shooting some pool, talking with other socom players, and going into the game to kill fools!

I don't know what the heck everyone's talking about,but I have a 56"1080i Samsung DLP TV,and when you see VF5 in motion it's hands down the most beautiful game I have ever seen.The water effects on the arena stages is some of the best(if not the best)seen anywhere on any console.Everyone knows Nvidia makes the best graphics cards on the market,in contrast to ATI.It's like comparing Intel to AMD.I sold my PS3,and began doubting my decision immediately.VF5 always rekindles faith in my decision to play b3yond, and jump out.

Many people said GoW looked like plastic didn't really mean anything as it was still a milestone and reduced those plastic comments to personal preference.

Guys, this is AM2 here. I'm sure on release the 360 version will look as good, if not a little better than the ps3 version. They have had allot of time to polish certain aspects, plus the colours on the ATI chip will have a slight edge in a screen shot comparison. When playing? You probably won't tell the difference.
I love VF5 on my PS3, it's still the best 3d fighter, always has been, always will be. The originator. Any Tekken or DOA goon that tells you otherwise, is a fighting game noob.

I dont really care. Lots of people love the graphics in this game I must say it looks great but does anyone even like playing this game? When I play it I dont like it. Maybe because its not easy to get big moves. The only fighters I like are easier ones like Mortal Kombat.

This is a solid list and I would love another Def Jam game (or at least on Xbox BC) after the abomination that was Icon. Fight Night unfortunately has been canned in favour of those UFC games which imo are quite lackluster.
