The game industry is evolving quickly and online and digital are becoming more and more widespread everyday. Google has been making moves to strengthen itself in this space, and according to one analyst, the new Google TV will not only challenge Apple TV, but it'll have a direct impact on Sony, Microsoft and Nintendo in the video game business.
Janco Partners' Mike Hickey commented, "We believe Google TV will have a meaningful impact on the video game industry, as a game console, enabling game play in your living room."
These new paid games, game trials and “buy once, play anywhere” pricing are coming to Play.
And, no, making video games with it is not the goal.
