Wow its amazing that game companies even send this guy games...

If the game is SP only, I rent most of the time using a BB monthly rental pass, except for a AAA titles like GodofWar.

At 60 bucks, I just dont buy that many games.
Buying games like Madden and COD every year gets old, so little changes. but I do buy madden since its the most played game in the house

I totally agree about the 3 month thing. For me 3 weeks is usually the limit. I seldom find myself playing anything past that unless its really good, but thats why i have gameflys 2 disks at a time plan. One slot can always be used to get the quicker games and play em while the other is used for games that take up a lot of time or are really good.

There are some games that are day 1 buys for me, and some that I can wait on. But I do buy all my games, I don't like renting or borrowing of any kind.

The reason is because I feel rushed and obligated to play a game if its not mine, and that's no fun.

My mood for certain games can change quickly so I like to own the games on my shelf and grab whatever I feel like playing whenever I feel like playing it.

I don't think games offer too little content. Look at movies; blu-rays, as far as I know, are never cheaper than $20, and they last what, two hours? so for a ten hour game (even if you don't play multiplayer, like Brad) a little over three times that amount seems almost reasonable.

Besides, Brad, it almost sounds in the paragraph like you're taunting companies to go all "online pass" on our asses. Not that I'm any better, I buy, like, four games a year. Now, someone should write an article about how to shoplift games..

It's a case of replay value. If a game is so story driven that you're only going to have reason to play it all the way through once, why buy it? That's why I tend to drift towards actual "games" that I'll be compelled to play through multiple times. At $60 a pop, I expect more than 5 hours of gameplay.

Tell me again how the multiplatform strategy was supposed to fix everything. Look at your results and compare them to Nintendo, which keeps thriving with exclusives. Your loyal fans are gone. And let’s not forget the pile of IPs you purchased only to let them rot.

The worst thing is this is down from last years numbers/expectations which was down from the previous years numbers/expectations. You think about how long “down” has been a consistent part of the communication and you realize those subscriptions are what’s holding that boat together. The price cut of gamespass is still a price raise in a string of price raises. They are trying to use players to offset the missing revenue. Now call of duty is out of gamespass, which is literally WHY they bought the company. To draw people to the subscription. They realized they missed a boatload of money and that wasn’t sustainable. Now you pay for it like you would have if they never bought the company… so why buy the company? Mind you those billions still need to be paid back. Yeah it gives you a chance to say we make the biggest FPS… but the internal conversations must be brutal at high level on topics that really matter. Like revenue. Profitability. And ROI for the shopping spree.
