*sighs*
This was the only MMO for consoles I was interested in.
Too bad it got delayed.
(not to mention the monthly fee -- which made it even harder to justify the purchase)

spektical5715d ago

im still confused , do you have to buy the game (60$) and the monthly subscription?

WildArmed5715d ago

Yeah, but I think you get a 1 month trial w/ a new copy.

Many MMOs have monthly fees. When you buy the game, you get a months subscription to it. And 1 month is $15, which costs basically (if you end up liking it) the same as 1 game every 4 months. The only way the fee won't justify the purchase is if they don't support the game after launch with new content that is free, keep the servers running fine and provide good customer support.

Yeah I was very interested in this game, and two of my friends where even going to buy ps3's just to play it. That was until they announced it was no longer free. I think aiming for a sub free game in the beginning was a big mistake, once they changed their minds I'd say they lost a lot of buyers. I know its put me off, even though i still REALLY want this game. If I'm working again soon, I'll probably fork out the dosh for it. Was really hoping to get into the beta, that really would have helped me decide in the end. Hopefully I get my beta invite next week :) And no exclusive access with playstation plus? They should have given us that at least!

Learn to read an article before posting, the beta is available to a select few who picked up codes from gamescom. People that applied via the website get invites next week.

I'm looking forward to playing this on my PC.

You want gamers to preorder your title so they can help you beta test them!?

moparful995715d ago (Edited 5715d ago )

Umm what so bad about this? Go to store plop down 5 bucks, play beta.. If you like it then great you have the beta and a retail copy on pre-order, don't like it? Go back to store and take that 5 dollar pre-order and put on something else.. Simple really, don't know why you have to make such a big deal out of it...

Si-Fly5715d ago

How does it take the piss?!! I'd be more than happy if every developer adopted this strategy so I can trial a game properly before release.

MMOs In 2021 Retrospective: Console Edition

WTMG's Thomas Medina: "As far as I’m concerned, console MMOs have always been in a weird place. PC is where the main game is most popular. MMOs were born there, work best there, and have the vast majority of titles. Mobile is then next in line, with touchscreens and portability that adds something new while functioning well. Console gaming, on the other hand, is not portable (for the most part). Plus, it uses a controller, which is not the best instrument when your control scheme requires a thousand buttons and a cursor. That being said, there is an audience, and where there’s money to be made, publishers find a way. So here we are with some of the biggest console MMO games and how I feel they handled 2021. "

Best Superhero Video Games Available Right Now

From Xfire: "A lot of video games are designed to make players feel like a superhero. However, very few actually feature superheroes or have players take on the role of a superhero. What makes this even worse is that there are even fewer superhero video games that can be considered good."
