GWC: When Comic Jumper was announced by Twisted Pixel Games, the studio that brought us XBLA standouts The Maw and ‘Splosion Man, over a year ago I was already in love. The concept is that of a superhero, Captain Smiley, whose comic book has been cancelled and the only way to regain readership is to guest star in other series that differ not only in era, but genre as well. Slowly information trickled out in the form of teaser videos and comic book covers showcasing the visits our hero will embark upon. Everything I saw looked and sounded inspired; I couldn’t wait.

Neil writes: "It may be hard for many to believe, but it's been a decade since Twisted Pixel Games were right at the top of their game, delivering experiences filled with humour, clever ideas and utter madness. While it may have been the success of The Maw and the outstanding 'Splosion Man which really thrust them into the limelight, Comic Jumper was still a pretty damn brilliant playthrough too - and right now that playthrough is free to take in thanks to the game being gifted to all via the Xbox Games With Gold scheme for May 2019."

Carlos writes: "Whilst the year may be progressing faster than we can blink, and games seem to be arriving in the digital stores by the dozens each week, it has to be said that the start of any month is a time in which many Xbox players quietly look forward to. Sure you have all those exciting new releases as well, but more importantly, if you’re one of the millions of subscribers to Xbox Live Gold, you’ll be rubbing your hands together with the imminent arrival of fresh new titles at no extra cost. With May now upon us, that time is now, so without further ado, let’s take a look at this month’s Xbox Games With Gold freebies to see if the wait has been worthwhile!"
Stop calling them "free" games. You are paying to access them.
Also, no, that's the crappiest lineup I've seen in a while.

Major Nelson: For the month of May, Xbox Live Gold members will receive four new free games - two on Xbox One and two on Xbox 360 - as part of the Games with Gold program.
