just look at Ratchet, HS, Uncharted or GT5:Prologue - those games come in 1 year of PS3 life and ALREADY look really amazing, and just to think, that we will see even better stuff.. that is really amazing. =)

Ports suck. having seperate dev teams for each console is the way to go even if its the same game. I am anxiously waiting to see what a focused devloper like this can squeeze outta the PS3. Games like HS Killzone2 and MGS prove that the ps3 can push out top drawer graphics. I just want to see more.

actually we have yet to see rendering from cell and rsx working together, there have been games that have been rendered by rsx, and then affects done by cell, but it will be years before rsx is maxed, and cell, and really a long time before they are used together, and anywhere near close to maxed, the ps3 will never max out, and then theres blue ray

Sony also has engineers working with the Crytek crew in optimizing the engine for the PS3 I believe the Crytek engine is a viable and marketable platform for other developers ala Epic. I'm all for this as I feel that too many games are powered by the Unreal Engine. Its not a bad thing but competition on game engines is also a great thing.

well tudors you have a point but when you are comparing m/s gaming to p/s it might not hold because of the user base for playstation i mean the last generation of xbox's sold what 25 maybe 26 i don't remember but i am sure it was around that number but if that is all i wouldn't really consider that compitition maybe if they sell twice or three times as much this year i will start to get wuried but considering how many people bought the ps2 and are still buying it still seems as though p/s will become king again my personal opinion.

crytek are one of the first companies to design games around multi core CPU's, look at crysis, thats designed around 2 - 4 cores, the ps3 has 8!! ill be very interested as to what these 'new technologies' are!!

Crytek makes great games, so it will be interesting to see what they come up with. I wouldn`t mind seeing Crysis on consoles either, if they make the game specifically for them, and not just a usual EA port.

I miss the first three generations of PlayStation. The way they turned PS3 around, we knew they meant business. We were all worried for a bit there around launch. Eventually from 2008 they started shifting slowly. But since Yoshida was fired, it's never been the same. Still enjoy my PS5 daily. I got a backlog dating back to PS2 lol So I'm fine but new games aren't as appealing anymore.

It seems like we were thrown on to the worst timeline possible where everything is too expensive and the wrong people were put in positions that makes the world a shitty place. We could have had Shu as the head of PS but we got the shitty alternative. Same goes for everyone in power around the world. Doesn’t matter the company or country the majority of us got the shitty picks and the world is declining like never before. I do think PS can come out of this because of their studios, talent and IP but they need someone more in touch with gamers leading things like Shu was. They’re still the best place for console gaming imo but it could be much better than it is especially without the massive live service failures. The rest of the world I have a lot less hope for right now. Hopefully the pendulum swings back towards the good ole days but I’m preparing for the worst.
