At the 2010 Tokyo Games Show, AusGamers were among the first fortunate few to check out the freshly revealed multiplayer component of THQ's Homefront and caught up with Kaos Studios' Richard Carrillo for a chat.
"A big goal for Homefront was class-based large-scale warfare. There’s definitely a lot of competition out there and we want to be one of those Triple A title - we’re definitely shooting for the top.
What really sets us apart from those other games is that that large-scale warfare comes very fast-paced. If you play a lot of other vehicle-based games, you have to drive long distances to get to the combat, in our game you’re going to spawn right next to the combat and you’re gonna spawn the thing from the spawn screen; you don’t have to wait for it to load into battlefield, you don’t have to wait to drive to get to the combat - this is fast-paced; get right in there, right into the action and start blowing stuff up."

Jack writes: "Back in March 2011, the first-person action shooter Homefront arrived on the Xbox 360 from THQ, along with a storm of publicity which included a really cool live-action trailer"

Last week game dev Steve Thornton took to Twitter to ask: fellow devs, have you ever slipped something into a game you're working on that's just for you? The replies are well worth a read.

Deep Silver and Humble Bundle are currently offering the first Homefront game for free. This offer will last for the next 48 hours, so be sure to visit its Humble Bundle page in order to acquire your free copy.

Ehh, PS4 needs these deals too, or consoles in general we always get discounts rarely free stuff that's REALLY free (games with gold / psplus isn't free)
