realize I want to PLAY games online and not pay for a service which offers me stuff which I can get for FREE on our TV with inet widgets, our PC (also hooked up to the HT system, Cable DVR and our PS3)

MS will NEVER let gaming be free like PC or PSN, because they clearly know they will lose subscribers

There is no reason to believe Microsoft would leave the gaming industry. The Lazygamer is being just that. Lazy. If they thought for a second they would have to ask themselves why MS would leave gaming just as they have gotten themselves in a position to really profit. They are making a profit on the console, software and should on Kinect. Also a huge profit on Live. People who use E & D profits as a sign of Xbox health obviously don't know what E & D is. There are many products in that division and Xbox and Live are the main ones making a profit. 400 million a year is spent on Windows and Office advertising and charged to that division. With none of the money from sales going back into it. And that division represents a very small portion of MS revenue.

Downgrading MS is just another example of the fraud that is the stock market. A company makes record profits last quarter. They are on the verge of releasing a highly anticipated product. They are releasing windows 7 Mobile soon. Which has been said to be a big improvement. The 360 is the best selling console in the world the last few months. All of a sudden MS is a hold. During the entire time the 360 was struggling and Vista was the OS they were a buy. Goldman is trying to drive the price down and get people to sell. Because they make money on the transactions. Just before the price goes back up with Kinect's release they get there preferred customers and friends back into MS stock. At the numbers they invest they make millions. Once they price is back up Goldman pushes it to the public again.

The same games that created the current financial mess. They pushed housing in every part of the media. The banks set up ninja loans and sub-primes. They fail and the media pushes the idea that a small percentage of home owners can ruin the housing market. And nothing save us. Odd they never considered moving the late payments to the end of the mortgage and dropping the rates back down to 5% so that people could actually afford the homes they were in. Instead they allowed the companies and banks to fail, took government money and allowed a bunch of executives walk away with billions.

Anyone that invest in the market is crazy. Your moneys safer in a mattress and always has been. All of the talk of staying for the long-term is just to get you to except your losses. As they get rich with your money.

It matters not that MS holds the second spot in consoles sales, or even that XBL is a profitable service for them. What does matter is the overall profit margin for the ED division. My guess is that we've already seen the impacts of this with a decline in 360 exclusives and the raise in XBL costs. Not to mention the efforts MS is taking to expand its gamer base into the casual market with Kinect.

Goldman Sachs bought and sold our company to another Wall Street based company which in 2 yrs sold our company to a place outside of the US at the start of the recession and we are still tryng to find jobs.I guess this is how Wall Street based companies make their money by stepping on backs of others. I don't get it panther. So because micro is trying to expand into the casual, they are raising the price for live, and they don't have as many exclisives as sony who has more studios than ninetendo and micro combined is your proof that they are going under? And them being 2nd while making a profit doesn't matter? Wtf?
