Bit.Trip Beat is a good game. But it could have been an excellent game. If the three stages were broken up into several smaller ones, Bit.Trip Beat would be nothing but a great challenge. Instead, it sometimes causes teeth-gnashing… and not the fun kind. But IGN still recommends it to fans of neo-retro games and to anybody that would like to see what a real-deal Pong sequel would look like.

Alex S. from Link-Cable writes: "Some of the best games of recent memory have taken inspiration from the past to craft something that is both ‘new’ and ‘old’ at the same time."
