OXM: Hydrophobia Review

You could always power through with some special ammunition, or grind past opponents with charged sonic blasts. But really, you’ll only be cheating yourself out of all those marvelously entertaining chain-reaction killing sprees and the resulting scoring bonuses. And by the time you reach the abrupt cliffhanger ending, you’ll be too busy planning your next playthrough to worry much about the wait for Hydrophobia’s inevitable sequel.

Well it IS OXN after all, but in all honesty, we did give the game a decent 7.5/10, as it does bring back some basic gameplay mechanics akin to the earlier Max Payne games from Remedy Games, which really had you working out how to get through obsticals, rather than have your path laid out in front of you with glaringly lit passageways or doors etc.

Plus the ending of Hydrophobia is meant to take you into the next iteration, it is after all, a on-going series, not a sequenulized game.
