E4G: Brink multiplayer hands on

E4G: At the end of my first day at the Eurogamer Expo I managed to get into the last line of people able to play the multiplayer side of Bethesda and Splash Damage’s Brink before the show closed for the night. I left it late as thanks to a velvet rope and 20-30 minute match system it would have been a pain to queue up earlier in the day.

Brink's one of those games that I saw at least a year ago and was really impressed with. To be honest, I'm still impressed with it. :D

Gah so upsetting you didnt think much of it. I'm really looking forward to Brink, how they fix the problems before release.

I think a lot of the problem is not having a team that worked well together. You shouldn't be laying around all the time waiting for respawns because it is a simple button press for a medic to toss you a syringe.

Here is walkthrough video of the demo the writer played, with respawn info in it. At about 1:20 in the player gets downed and the respawn timer goes in 20 second rotations, all you have to do is pick respawn. Laying there is an option if you want to wait for a medic to pick you up. The system is explained at about 3:30 into the video.

Considering this is the only overly negative hands on from the massive amount out there I am going to hold this one as the outlier. People will definitely have bad times with this game if they don't play as a team. Seems like he got frustrated with the timer and made up his own info for it to me.

I think Brink has the potential to be a good game but it could be a bit divisive amongst gamers.
