Wow. that explains why I always thought I had seen some of those characters before.
There are quite a few popular models for our game characters ;)

If I'm not mistaken, Desmond Miles/Altair/Ezio Auditore di Firenze is based off some Canadian dude that I've seen a couple times before, but forgotten his name.

@ Second guy in my family aka Chuck Norris. That was funny.

ravinash5707d ago

I keep forgetting how good looking MGS4 is when you compare the computer model to the real people.

specialguest5707d ago

Though not official, I am certain they modeled Naomi Hunter based on Monica Bellucci:

Kurt Russel / Michael Behin -- Metal Gear Solid

The Shepard guy looks almost surreal after playing Mass Effect so much.

Weird.

gamingdroid5708d ago

I didn't like the Shepard original look and now I know. He looks like schmuck in real life too!

Thank God I can customize my own Shepard!

ReservoirDog3165708d ago

Haha, he fits the part. But I suck* at customizing faces. End up looking like aliens.

Nihilism5708d ago

That's why I chose a female shepard, the guy one looks like a jock douche.

CrzyFooL5708d ago

They did a really good job with Vanderloo and Shepard. They failed at the chicks tho. People apparently can't model females well. That being said, I would break Kristen Bell in half, good lord. om nomnomnomnom.

I also approve of the random Chuck Norris joke at the end.

Konami Delists Some Metal Gear Games From Digital Stores Without Warning

Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots and Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker HD have been delisted from digital stores without warning.

cloganart87d ago

I mean, it makes sense. With Vol.2 coming and all that

Stupid headline. Should state that they are being updated or discontinued. This makes the crazy people that only read headlines think it some kind of conspiracy to take away peoples already purchased games.

jjb198187d ago

If you want to all of a sudden own them now and haven't played them yet because a remastered is coming out, shame on you. I can't believe people are complaining about this 15 years later when it was bound to happen anyway. "A new remaster is out, quick, I'd better buy the original from the shop."

gigoran886d ago

Gamers: "Physical? who needs physical? everyone knows that digital online games are the future. stop living in the past. we don't need no stinking disc drive"

Same gamers: "How dare the delist a digital game that I own!!!!"

computeSci86d ago (Edited 86d ago )

And? What is your point?

Same gamers: "How dare the retailers to delist (quit selling) a physical game that I own!!!!"

I think you just read the headline and don't know how dilisting works with Sony. It's common knowledge that:

"Players who already bought the games will still have them in their library and can download and play them as usual."

So again, what is your point?

Capcom's willingness to invest in experiments and scrap them sets them apart form many other developers (Nintendo have a similar methodology). Far too often companies push a game setting or game mechanic that is just not that good and the final product is middling or poor.
