
Speaking in a recent interview, Castlevania producer Koji Igarashi revealed that a new Nintendo DS Castlevania is currently in development. He would not reveal specifics but did say that another PSP title would not be out of the question either if Castlevania: Dracula X Chronicles sells well.

I enjoyed both Rush games, I did think the action was sometimes too fast to see what was coming up in terms of hazards though, which meant replaying the same stage a bunch of times, other than that they were enjoyable, good special stages, 3D sections and bosses for the most part.
DS is one of the best consoles of all time. Such a rich library of software

That's cool. I've always loved the GBA and DS Castlevania games, however, I think it might be time to experiment with the formula a bit. As much as I liked Portrait of Ruin, it was just like Dawn of Sorrow, which was just like Aria of Sorrow, etc...
I'm not complaining at all, believe me, I'll be happy whether it's the same or not!

Haven't Nintendo handhelds gotten enough Vania love by now? I'd much rather see the next Vania on one of the new consoles with 2D graphics that would outclass anything. Make the characters look like the artwork with a Guilty Gear style resolution.
