PLAY.TM: Codemasters F1 2010 chief game designer Steven Hood believes the relatively poor sales of Blur and Split/Second were down to over-familiarity and formulaic design.
The two racers were released in May this year to a tepid commercial response. Blur in particular struggled, shifting just 31,000 units in its first five days in the US, substantially down on publisher Activisions expectations.

An update on EA SPORTS™ WRC.
Dear Rally Community,
Every great journey eventually finds its finish line, and today, we announce that we've reached the end of the road working on WRC.
'It marked the first time the studio had used the license in 18 years since 2022’s Colin McRae Rally 3.'

Weird article written by a bot.
In any case I knew EA would ruin Codemasters.

Multiple games developed by Codemasters have been delisted on Steam just recently without any previous warning from EA.
Here’s the deal with this bullsh*t, and this is the single reason I f*cking hate digital, this wouldn’t be so much an issue if these people would give an announcement before they pull their games so people have a chance to get them before they’re gone. I mean, how hard is that to do?
Like, I prefer digital for the convenience of it and making me less of a hoarder, but stuff like this can drive me up the wall and I’m aware this also happens with physical games, but you can still acquire a game from eBay, though all scalped to hell, whereas digital you’re SOL… unless you have a PC.
These games had exactly 0 players. If you haven't played any of them by now you really didn't care in the slightest. Suddenly you're dying to play one of these classic turds? Sail to cs.rin.ru.
i mean .. i hate this practise. atleast give people like a 2 months headsup.
idiots

The F1 24 announcement seems imminent, as the Champions Edition cover and details have surfaced in F1 23's game files after the latest patch.
To Sony, and so many other companies in this industry, the short-term satisfaction and happiness of their shareholders means so much more to them than their employees, their products, and their customers.
I can't speak for Blur but Split/Second was awesome.
I am really liking F1 2010 on the PC, they did an excellent job...
I played Split/Second and it was a great rent, hech I platinumed it. As for blur I just really wasn't feeling it at all. I know they were trying to ride that whole grown up Mario Kart thing but it just felt dull to be honest. The game felt unpolished to me and the racing overall felt clunky to me. It just wasn't really as smooth or as polished an experience as Split/Second was.
for 20.00 bucks each. blur is not a bad game, the powerups get a little boring after a while.
as for Split/second the cars feel sloppier but, for 20.00 how can I complain.
