AppCraver:
Overall, I really like Assault Commando, but I do have one nit to pick.
3D Magic says Assault Commando is set in a South American jungle, but its look seems Asian; Perhaps we’re in Peru during the rule of Alberto Fujimori. Even at that, I’m seeing palm trees and huts here, not Japanese pagodas. The graphics actually suggest the jungle of some unnamed southeast Asian land; Hint: it rhymes with “bam.” The nice thing is, it doesn’t matter.

TheAppera - This game follows the veins of Guerrilla Bob , an action packed-mission oriented dual stick game. Assault Commando features vibrant green palms, lush greens and explosions of course in 3D. If Chuck Norris had an iPhone game, this is it.

TheiPhoneAppReview:
When an application’s App Store description begins by warning users what to do if their device crashes, one doesn’t hold much hope for the game itself. One drastically lowers their expectations when the well being of their expensive and vital device is threatened by a game that one could have easily passed over. And while it is certainly refreshing to know such a thing could happen in advance, putting such information out there like a billboard for all to see severely distracts from the fine print and the product at hand.

Pocket Gamer:
Although many people will tell you that Soda Streams, rock band The Smiths, and Back to the Future are the best things to have come out of the cultural wasteland that was the 1980s, I consider the numerous numbskull action movies of Schwarzenegger, Stallone, and Lundgren to be more memorable.
Developer 3D Magic Kft. agrees, as this iPhone shooter is every inch a loving tribute to the thinly plotted, explosion-heavy flicks of the '80s.
