The article is pretty much just a forum post against the other forum posters who aren't happy with the way Dante looks. Not much substance here.

What I don't like about the whole new DmC thing is that Ninja Theory is doing it. Ninja Theory hasn't proven to anyone that they're capable of making a game run smoothly, and if you're doing an action game in the same vein as the old DmC, it had better run smoothly. Like, constant 60FPS smoothly.

The preview, and what's been happening with Enslaved, does not lead me to think that the new Devil May Cry will be a fast and furious actioner, requiring the same amount of precision as something like the third iteration of the series. It looks like a Ninja Theory game - slow-paced, with money placed in the hands of prominent actors instead of more people to refine and diversify the combat. Ugh. I don't care what color Dante's hair is. I just want a great game, and NT hasn't proven that they can do that yet.

Was as happy as anyone else about the new Dante reveal, worried that Ninja Theory is doing it when they've really yet to prove themselves, but what does it say about Capcom if the game doesn't turn out well? Not they could have done better, especially considering their recent track record.

Only difference i see in this dante and the old is the appearance, he will most likely be just as bad arse in character. Looks isn't everything, unless you swing that way. YEEESH!

i'm not against anything new but i think there's still alot more for old Dante before they jump back into his past yet again. in my opinion the only interesting past is the demon battle between Dante's father Sparda and the demons lord to save the humanity, why not make a game of him, Sparda i mean? it would be awesome.

Capcom has other IP's they can also dip into. Wouldn't mind a new Dino Crisis, Darkstalkers, Breath of Fire. Hell even dust off some of the old shmups or a decent Bionic Commando.

As a DMC fan since the first, I find its impact fascinating.

Despite never being a powerhouse in terms of sales, you can argue it's the single most influential series at this very moment. Everything is copying it, even Final Fantasy of everything lmao.
