... RDR's DLC has so far been extremely disappointing, and certainly NOT worth the money.

It's a shame to see Rockstar milking a great game like RDR in this way. I expected better from them.

only thing i wanna hear from rockstar is
the next gta and midnight club :p lol

Yeah I really think more people would get the dlc had it been $5 as opposed to $10. Me included.

But the zombies dlc sounds interesting for two reasons. Open world zombie game = coolest idea ever that probably won't fully happen till next gen. And this quote:

"There is going to be a full-blown narrative built in to the original game that tells the story of how the infestation came about and its effect on society and the landscape....We're adding new weapons, new animations, new enemy models and AI (zombie animals!), just to name a few. You may even run into some old friends!"

Old friends? Kinda interesting huh?

This makes me think GTA4 DLC was actually due to MS funding. Interesting. Probably w/o MS money that DLC would never had existed at all.

You may be right but I do remember Rockstar saying they had created such a massive world they didn't want to just let it go to waste. They probably already had DLC planned just like every other game released nowadays.

I loved the Episodes from Liberty City. They were definitely worth $40. With RDR, I've gotten the more gameplay out of $60 than I've gotten in a long time. They were nice enough to give us a great co-op pack for free. With Legends and Killers, I can't help but think I got ripped off a bit. 9 maps alone for $10 sounds like a steal but most of the maps don't feel like they were made for multiplayer, especially Hennigan's stead. I like the tomahawk but the aiming is a little wacky. Playing as Red Dead Revolver characters is cool but I think $5-$8 is a better price point. I haven't boughten Liars and Cheats yet. I really want it but I don't know if it's worth $10.

I loved the original Red Dead Redemption game, I have it for my PS3. But just what is the big deal with this zombie crap? A single-player DLC that invloves shooting and killing zombies. Yawn. And they say this was the most requested idea for a single-player DLC from Red Dead fans? Oh my word, what type of gamers do we have out here? A Western action game with zombies, just how unrealistic is that looks. If people wanna kill zombies why not just buy Resident Evil or Left for Dead? I hate it when they ruin games like Red Dead with this zombie rubbish, especially when it's not a game that has anything to do with zombies. I was hoping for some single-player DLC that would have you continuing to play as Jack Marston's son and see what adventures he gets up to later in life, maybe add more interesting and fun missions, side quests and activities and maybe even newer animals. No, instead we get a stupid zombie game for the only single-player DLC being made for Red Dead Redemption.

Well I wont be buying this thats for sure.

they should update that for free since its already a open world

one thing they need to do is do a few SP only DLC zombie one is fine i hope there is a decent story to the zombie dlc

dead rising 2 i will pass just like the 1st because of too many TIME MISSIONS

but we need a new awsome story DLC in red daed world we need to RS

More like people don't play these type of games on their phone normally and don't try them out. Not like the places where people do play these games haven't crushed those numbers easily.

How many people actually played more than an hour of the game or came close to finishing it on mobile is the real question. If people aren't playing the games to a point that is purposeful, then why try when a subscription that is behind a streaming service isn't a sign of success but just curiosity.

What if Netflix becomes ‘the Netflix of gaming?!’

Alek83132d ago

I downloaded it because I already have a Netflix sub.
I am not going to buy it for $40 or whatever it costs on Google Play.

I tried it out and will be sticking to the PC version, but it's not bad.

Having said that, this is the issues I see vs the PC version:
1. Greatly reduced texture resolution.
2. Massive downgrade ALL lighting quality (this includes water, shadows, etc).
3. Stutter and heat. Prolonged play leads to both.
On the plus side, we have:
4. This thing is like 6GB vs the 12 on Steam.

Great way to try the game, but not the best way to play it.

Perhaps Netflix will make a RDR series now that ST is done with.

Lionsguard133d ago

A Netflix version of RDR?... Oh boy... I can't wait... /s

TheColbertinator133d ago

They should build a production that includes members behind the True Grit remake and Hell on Wheels from AMC. Both were perfect for wild west vibes.

gold_drake133d ago

but i doubt people ACTUALLY played it on smartphone vs tried it out.

Another free update...good to know but I don't own a series X

Petebloodyonion166d ago

I’m not sure what the exact issue is. I had no trouble getting the free update—you basically get the new game for free if you have the 360 version in your digital library. Maybe the problem is related to owning or not owning the Undead DLC expansion.

Hypertension140166d ago (Edited 166d ago )

Yea I think thats what it is. I also own the game but not the expansion, and im unable to download the update.
