id give it a whirl if it were free. if this was move compatible i think itd be pretty interesting.

Spydiggity5737d ago

figure out why anyone is even a little interested in this game. the multiplayer anyway.

it is completely ripping off left 4 dead. and it looks much worse graphically and in gameplay. even the creator of the game called it "left 4 dead space" (how pathetic). do yourself a favor...just get on steam and get the better version for much less than 60 dollars.

morganfell5737d ago

If you think this is a ripoff of L4D then it is obvious you have never played the game. There are a legion of people that know while L4D is fun, Dead Space is downright gripping. I don't know anyone that quit playing L4D because they were creeped out. But I know several that only play Dead Space during the day.

xAlmostPro5737d ago

now i know where my disagree came from, i'd like to thank your personally :)

Oh and for the record the games are nothing alike :/

Spydiggity5737d ago (Edited 5737d ago )

obviously you guys didn't read past the first sentence. i said the multiplayer...and i quoted the creator as calling it "left 4 dead space"...HE SAID THAT. so quit being fanboys and look it up before running your mouths.

i won't get into the quality of the single player, since i never played it. i did play the first one, however. and i can safely say that it wasn't the least bit scary. ugly monsters jumping around corners =/= scary. you see it once in the very beginning which was slightly startling, then you just repeat that experience one or two hundred times and the game's over. ZZZzzzzz. i never said the single player in dead space was like left 4 dead... i guess fanboys will see and hear what they want. why should reality get in the way of delusion?

@almostpro: get over yourself...i didn't agree or disagree with any previous comments (when i started typing mine, there were no other comments)

@ddurand1: how can something that looks so similar be unique? even the zombie's (err...sorry...aliens) abilities are basically the same thing in the multiplayer. and i agree with you about l4d...i'm one of them. it's a great game.

We did read the sentence. You are taking what was said too literally. It is a way of complementing his own work.

The only person attacking a game in defense of another here is you. Attacking Dead Space in defense of L4D. Look that up if you are defining a fanboy.

By your own admission you haven't experienced the second one. You said "monsters jumping around corners =/= scary". Guess what, Dead Space MP =/= L4D. Not by a long shot. The next time you want to throw some stones you might want to check the glass walls in you own house.

L4D is a game to drink beer and laugh with your friends. The hands on for DS MP, for people that have played, it has furnished enough info that anyone can see it isn't L4d. I am not saying it is better but I am saying it is different. And so are other people that HAVE ACTUALLY PLAYED THE GAME BEFORE MAKING A DAMN YOU ALL IF YOU DON'T AGREE STATEMENT.

Spydiggity5737d ago (Edited 5737d ago )

he got caught by the host of the show after he hyped it for being this amazing, unique thing. the host said "sorta like left for dead." what else could the developer do but concede that there actually wasn't a unique concept in the multiplayer. then he used a li'l pr/marketing strategy to spin it in his favor...which apparently worked on you.

feel free to buy it if you love it, nobody is stopping you. but, you can't look at a car you've already seen before and probably driven and then call it a bike...it's the same damn car (minus a ton of great concepts)!

ddurand15737d ago

the mulitplayer does look similiar. but who cares as long as its unique to dead space?

many people enjoy L4D.

EA Shoots Down Dead Space 2 Remake Rumors: 'No Validity to This Story'

EA has shut down rumors that EA Motive considered a Dead Space 2 remake before shelving it due to low sales of the previous game, saying there's "no validity" to the reports.

XiNatsuDragnel789d ago

Sure.... right.... at least remake dead space 3 w/o microtransactions bs.

XiNatsuDragnel787d ago

I sometimes I wished I didn't Ngl lol

Knightofelemia788d ago

Why not remake DS2 whether shot down or not it's still my favorite game next to DS1. As much as I hate EA I would buy or would have bought DS2 day one.

MeteorPanda788d ago

No validity XD "Guys guys, we cant possible make a good game or cater to the gamers wants, stop"

Yi-Long788d ago

I don't know if sales met their expectations or not. I just know that the high review scores received my attention so I was interested in buying it, but its price stayed high (50+ bucks) for so long that I simply never bothered picking it up.

Tacoboto788d ago

Doesn't pay full price
Doesn't pay *any* price
Ponders if sales met expectations regarding an allegedly canceled sequel.

Gee...

Yi-Long787d ago

Well, for starters, I'm sure there are plenty of games I never bought which did, somehow, still, meet their sales-expectations.

Concerning Dead Space; I never played and thus cared for the original. It's in multiple genres (shooter, sci-fi, horror) I don't particularly care about so it was barely on my radar pre-launch. I was never its target-audience.

When reviews hit, and it was scoring big, it gathered my interest, so while it wasn't in my field of interest, it mrans that I wanted to give it a fair shot and at least give it a try, as I do with many games across different genres; I tend to just cherry-pick the good stuff and see if it's for me or not.

But, I do wait for sales on those games I take a risk on.

Kornholic787d ago (Edited 787d ago )

Lol, you are a huge part of the problem. If a very high-quality game is not even worth 50 bucks to you, then what is?

13 Years Later, Dead Space 2 Is Still A Perfect Video Game

Nameer from eXputer: "Dead Space 2 is a sequel that delivers such a feast that by the time you're done, you're not only full but also satisfied."

Aaroncls7808d ago

It was amazing. All 3 DS games game solid for me, but 2 was special.

hombreacabado808d ago

i can do without ds3 but the first two are solid.

mariopasta808d ago

Hope they remake this one too. Just like they did with number 1. The remake of Dead Space 1 was perfection

Terry_B808d ago

thanks to the digital pass for it it was not perfect..in fact its difficult to find a working copy since many years.

I had no idea that Bad Company 2 was still running, and only now that I know, I want to jump on! 😥

SonyStyled911d ago

I was able to find games in the Vietnam dlc on ps3 the last week. There were articles on here about the server closure when it was announced in April

DaReapa911d ago

BF1943 is the only online MP game that I was genuinely interested in. Been playing since launch 14 years ago. Hate that I couldn't put in as much time to play as I'd hoped for during the final week.

Inverno910d ago

I got really into 43 when I bought Bf3, and preferred it. Everything that I disliked or found annoying about Bf3, wasn't an issue in 43. Too bad they never bothered releasing it on PS4 or PC.

1nsomniac910d ago (Edited 910d ago )

Dead Space 2...... I wasn't even aware that had multiplayer. Nevermind that it was apparently one of their best multiplayers!

anast910d ago

Once people stop buying micros, these companies close the doors.

Xenial910d ago

Dead Space 2 multiplayer had been hanging on for years - I'd boot my PS3 up to see some familiar names in lobbies. This will definitely be missed!
