Y'know, I used to be pissed whenever I read these articles but thinking about it, it really doesn't bother me at all. Kotick is simply doing what any business would do, maximizing profits. Sounds insane doesn't it? But seriously, if someone offered YOU free money, wouldn't you take it?

These guys stay in business because people continue to buy their games! The typical situation goes like this:

"I hate Kotick, he completely sucks!, what a douche!"
"What?? Activision just released THAT game?!?! I HAVE to play it!"
*Goes to store and buys game*
"I still think Kotick sucks for the industry!!"

Simply put, if you have a game with an Activision logo on it, I don't care what it is, then YOU SUPPORT KOTICK and everything he stands for. If you don't like him, then QUIT buying Activision games! ALL of them! I promise, you won't die if you miss out on an exclusive or two.

But most gamers won't, they'll continue to bitch and moan about articles like yet rush to the store in droves as soon as the next one hits the shelves.

Me, I have no Activision games. I don't even buy the blizzard ones since they are part of Activision. There's a couple I definitely wanted to play but oh well, I don't support this prick and there are other things I can play.

Since Bungie is going to be working with them, he's praising them while, at the same time, sh!tting on all the other indie devs. Still, he seems to have no respect for the accomplishments of indie devs (unless they're working for him) This is the kinda attitude that is making Activision less popular everyday. That and wanting to charge gamers for ever single thing. All those devs listed, Valve, Gearbox, Insomniac, Sucker Punch, Level-5 and all the others make up a big chunk of the market, and if he can't see that, then he really is just a big dumb ape with a superiority complex and too much authority than should be given to big dumb apes.

What a laugh, Bungie has been milking the same franchise for the past 10 years, they lack the creativity or the balls to take a risk on anything new. They got lucky with halo 1 and have been running back to it like a baby to a bottle ever since in order to stay relevant as a developer, companies like Valve, Level-5, Insomniac, Gearbox, and Suckerpunch are all 10x the developer Bungie could ever dream of being. Not to say Halo is bad or anything but seriously to say they are the best indie dev when they havnt released a single game in 10 years that didnt say halo on the box? Remember that this quote was taken from an investors meeting and what do investors care about more then anything else? a return of that investment (as in profit). With his comment he's still ignoring developers like Valve and Blizzard which is completely ridiculous and makes him look like a grade A dick. But when it comes to turning in a hefty profit, Bungie is indeed high up the latter. You can't say that about your average independent developer. Although without the Halo brand, I'm interested to see if Bungie can produce the same fan turnout.
