Daniel Feit: When I asked why PixelJunk Shooter 2 is a sequel rather than an expansion pack, as the company had done for its previous games, Cuthbert told me that there was “too much stuff” to be an expansion.... Q-Games gave me precious little information concerning PixelJunk Lifelike.... One last item we discussed was PixelJunk Monsters, the 2008 tower defense game which later received an expansion and a portable PSP version.

Each week Sony brings PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, PlayStation Vita and PlayStation Portable owners new content, add-ons, games and more.

Twinfinite writes:
Nintendo has just revealed on their website that PixelJunk Monsters will be coming to the Wii U via the eShop tomorrow.
Wow that is unexpected for such an old, but good game. First time the game has been on a console that wasn't Sony.

Jake from PC Gaming Enthusiast reviews the former PlayStation exclusive.
He writes:
"The ultimate edition received a major overhaul, which includes graphics. The overall artist effort truly shines on the PC. The water in each level looks like it is actually flowing, with perfectly precise physics, and subtle depth."
One last item we discussed was PixelJunk Monsters, the 2008 tower defense game which later received an expansion and a portable PSP version. Cuthbert said that the team wants to make a proper sequel and that it would likely “be 3-D in some way” — that’s 3-D as in polygons, not glasses. Thus far, PixelJunk games have all been two-dimensional, so he said that sequel would be the start of PixelJunk’s “series two.”
That is fantastic to hear.
