I seriously can't wait for this game to come out, there's a ton of great games coming out for the PS3 this year and next year.

The only new thing I saw was the guy bleeding, I don't remember that part...everything else I've seen before. I love how the machine gun scope looks and the smoke coming from the rocket trail looks awesome. I always laugh when the n00bs get blown up at the beginning of the trailers.

i dunno but the AI seems to nooby, like ahnold's enemies in the COMMANDO movie.

Every demo that is done for a presentation is dumbed down just for that showing, trust me it won't be that way once they game is finished. I'm really looking forward to playing this game, I had a lot of fun with the first KILLZONE even if people said it was a bad game. KILLZONE was the reason why I started playing FPS's in the first place.

Ai, you never see proper ai when they show games on stage, its turned down to easy, so the person playing doesnt look stupid.

That ai is setting which is set to easy is like hl2 ai, when it was full up,lol.

The graphics in this game are even better than flippin' crysis if you ask me(except for the explosion graphics they HAVE to fix those explosion graphics) and this game is still far from being complete-it isn't coming until next year. P.S huge props to GG for the blood graphics.

There is still one thing i don't think people really get about what it is that makes Halo what it is today.Aside from the excellent gameplay and a story that generally people seem to like a lot ,Master Chief is a real hero.It's this more than anything that has made Halo so popular but Halo's high acclaim is a collection of things most likely it's brilliant combat mechanics and superb art design.Halo's calibre is very rare.

I'm sure Killzone2 will be a real contender and i say this not really knowing for sure of course so that much is most certainly not guaranteed to be honest guys - i liked the first one quite a bit though and found the whole thing to be quite believable.As for a real connection with the characters in the first Killzone, none that i noticed if i'm honest.

Hope this is good for you guys i really do but do yourself a favour and ask why it is Halo is so damn huge - it's certainly not because of any massive user base that the PS2 clearly enjoyed and i think that says it all.

To actually see the CGI inbedded right next the the actual gameplay, one can see that GG has really got a *monster on their hands here. For some reason (maybe the way the video has been cropped or filtered) the video looks cleaner and more like something I'd see on my 65" DLP. There's nothing competing with this game right now. It's the talk of the towm ~ the talk of the gaming world, and GG has got to be the most talked about studio on Earth right now. KILLZONE = GOTY 2008

If you notice the guy that catches on fire.. the fire just appears to bounce on him, I know its probably possible, but it looks retarded from that angle. That was the only thing in this video that bugged me.

I hope Guerilla Games can continue to improve in terms of graphics (I know they don't really need to except for the flames/fire), gameplay, achieving "AAA" status and becoming greater game developers in a whole. Hopefully this game won't be too short and there will have a substantial amount of replay value (such as online mp/coop). I happened to see a vehicle in the CGI (Not the Dropship or Helicopter, but the gunner-manned jeep-like vehicles on exactly 3:10 and another at about 3:30 in the video). I hope they include those in the game as well.

I pretty sure they'll have the lighting all shaped up to be less "dull" or grey. But the atmosphere as it is will stay the same.

We can only or we should only compare Crysis and Killzone 2 if Crysis comes up with footage during the night or if Killzone comes up with footage during the day. Then that will be something to pit against!

the only real threat of crysis in visuals compared to killzone is the fact that crysis has been shown in several places,

we have seen:

crysis's water, but we havent seen killzone's

we have seen jungle fights in crysis, but not in killzone

we have seen vehicles ridden in crysis, not in killzone

we have seen crysis in day, but not killzone

we have seen rain in crysis, not killzone

we have seen destructible trees in crysis, but that hasnt been able to be seen in killzone since the level was in a war-torn area

we have seen animals in crysis, not killzone

we have seen several different weapons in crysis, not killzone

we have seen many areas that crysis is able to be shown in an occasion that several affects can be shown, but not killzone, still killzone shows better things than many movies in this early stage

point being killzone for this one level, the polygon count alone in killzone 2 makes any game on any platform look last gen, and its not close to finished yet, so please, killzone owns all games no matter what platform

But Call of Duty 4 won over 40 awards in e3 2007 and that included BEST GRAPHICS! Call of Duty 4 has better graphics than this game. Of course sony fanboys are gonna whine and say "u stoopit, Killzone 2 is better than everything in the world!" But Call of Duty 4 is thee game that took E3....not killzone.

Killzone 2 shows the lightning, the dark clouds, and other impressive details. But, as for me, I'm interlocked between Crysis and Killzone 2. But with one of the character models in KZ2 demo having a polygon count amounting to an entire killzone level on PS2 is remarkable. I can't imagine where this game is going but the "Master" and Grand "Daddy" of them all. I also have to add that Crysis features a Sandbox editor so that may lower repetitiveness.

And based on what we've seen from KZ1, GG will need to improve on "including inconsistent and sometimes nonexistent AI, occasional bugs resulting in random game crashes, frame-rate issues, numerous distracting graphical glitches, repetition of the same voices, short draw distance, and an awkward control system"

What we know will definitely we great in KZ2 is, "sound effects, its soundtrack, and its presentation of a gritty war zone and it's unique art design." and soon, the oh-so-lovely-not-so-lovely-due -to-war graphics.

Never played the first one but definitely getting this on day 1. Do you guys think the story will continue from the first game, because if so I gotta go rent it. Also as I was sitting here trying to figure out some of this fanboy crap I couldn't help but think that one of the reasons why xboys might be hating the ps3 sooooooo much is that for the most part when a game gets ported over we get extra content that they will either never get or have to pay for (R6V, GR2 andd URT3 just to name a few)and why wouldn't the devs take advantage of the extra space on BD.

WTF is going on with AI?.. Is there any? "Hey! Im standing on your way, kill me". And who ever says the AI is dumbed down just because it is DEMO to be more playable to show it off, is an idiot.

Cutscenes were ok and felt like there really is going to be some cool mayhem, but when the game started. It was only mayhem with stupid looking AI.

It looks really good, but if AI stays like that in the end. OUCH, pure OUCH.

Also in some parts of that video graphics and faces looked really flat and boring. In cutscenes graphics were good, but suddenly quality went down every now and then...hmm.

Is the reason that i'm gettng a PS3.

Remember graphics won't last forever, its the gameplay that counts. Looks awesome but if the gameplay is total crap then I won't be buying it, I just hope that the gameplay is great, balanced and fair. I also think that Crysis looks better than Killzone 2, why? because its bigger in scale, looks more cleaner and it can have up to 16x AA. God, I really need to get a new PC next year for Crysis.

Sony really does need another mainline shooter franchise. They pretty much gave up after the PS3 generation, and I'm really surprised they haven't tried at another high-profile, singleplayer-centric shooter; even if it weren't Killzone or Resistance.

I miss Killzone while I can see why they still do Horizon has some really good things but I do think that Horizon is overrated imo.

Or how about studios focus on projects that they feel passionate about, and not be forced to make something they have little interest in. It shows in the final product.

It’s still got potential for the modern era. The DNA is all there. The install base is there. The interest is there. The time is now.

I’m beating a dead horse here… but Resisitance FOM gun lay out was so fun, multiplayer was one of my top favorite experiences. Insomniac nailed it and I would love a remaster and maybe a redo with Reisistance 2. They listens to players who were wanting a Halo killer and it kind of lost its character from the first.

Warhawk, if they had just remade the first one not Starhawk which offered nice things like the build and battle.. but Warhawk was the best arcade shooter I ever played. Back when you didn’t have battle passes and you actually had to get certain amount of kills or ribbons to unlock different paint skins on the Warhawks and armor for your player.. Look at the success of Helldivers 2, it’s a fun game and it reminds me of Warhawk in a way. I’ve been wanting a remake or sequel since the beginning of the ps4 gen.. it’s hurts to have hope nowadays. Even with the demise of the studios Sony has a steady fan base.

Killzone game after Killzone 2 play style would be nice

Sorry bud, but the PS3 generation was amazing and featured the greatest console comeback in history.

That said, I'd love it if Warhawk returned or Metal Gear Solid 4. It needs to not be shackled to the PS3 generation anymore. A Killzone 2 remake would be insane with modern graphics and that art direction.

I really miss this gen of gaming. It felt like the last truly "great" era for videogames before the modern approach really took hold.

The PS3 was such a glorious console. The UI, the games, the free online...just incredible.

I would pay good money for a Warhawk remake. Socom too. The last Socom game just didn’t do it justice. Folklore could use a remaster or remake as well.
Several other titles I would like to remade with the amount of visual fidelity the current gen has over the past consoles it could help articulate the games that we’ve loved growing up. I would love even some ps2 titles to remade.. Dark Cloud from ps2, Legacy of Kain series but don’t know what will come of it sense it was bought by Embracer group and all there layoffs.

This strategy is exactly what helped ruin Xbox. Sony more than Microsoft know when to let a franchise go and that is important to keep things fresh. The old games are there if you want to play them.

FF13 is top of this list for me. No matter your opinion on it, it being the only numbered offline FF out of all 16 not to be on new consoles is odd. GTA IV would be great too

The only reason my PS3 is still connected is because of the Resistance, Heavenly Sword, Motorstorm games that I still love to play. I am for remaking or remastering them.

I was never a huge fan of Killzone, but thoroughly enjoy Horizon. Guerrilla are superb developer and easily up there with the best of the best.

Great studio, loved the Killzone series, I wish they would do a remake of the first three games. Horizon is a real step up and truly put Guerrilla Games on the map.
