On the upside I have a feeling that Ninja Theory will make a game that is extremely well paced and fun to play - with a great storyline and cast of characters.

On the downside DMC was great because of its fast action hack/slash gameplay mixed with stylish combos and larger-than-life weapons. This new direction seems to be eliminating that idea - which means they're removing the DMC from Devil May Cry...

I loved DMC4 But it didnt get the recognition it deserved! because they kept the story line top secret, so game critics and reviewers rated it down like **** whiny childern!!

DMC4 was awesome but felt like the begining of something greater!it was already the perfect reboot they should have continued the same way it was amazing.

4 is in my top games ever simply for the game play and story/voice acting!
but I cannot accept DMC4 being the last ever game!!

Ask any fan of the series. Majority would be pissed.

1- Reboot
2- Outsorced
3- Changed Dante.

Only people who had no intest in the game preiously would actually think this is a somewhat good idea.

Speaking as one not outraged but merely a little bemused by the different character direction, I'd not have minded some change to the formula of the series.

As far as character design goes, even if this was for an original project... it just looks kind of dumb. Not to beat the obvious commentary to death, but the scrawny/pretty boy/badass combination seems weak and begs for a terribly unlikeable character by presence alone. I suppose it might be better than the pillars of masculinity badassery, but not by much.

Maybe they expanded on his personality ,..made him Punk-rock and added some psychological depth to the character,..
