"Capcom made a surprise announcement at this year's Tokyo Game Show. Seems they've got a new "Devil May Cry" game on the way, but instead of telling the on-going travails of a white-haired dude named Dante, we've got a dark haired dude...named Dante."

All 21 Classic Games are playable for a limited time 🎮

Jason Dietz: "We reveal the past year's best and worst video game publishers (based on their 2025 releases) in the 16th edition of our annual Game Publisher Rankings."
But... but... the garbage-mongers always tell us that Square Enix is in trouble! 😂

Capcom has clarified its current stance on generative AI in its videogames. The major Japanese publisher and developer behind popular series like Resident Evil, Street Fighter, and Monster Hunter has revealed that while it doesn't use gen-AI assets in their games, it is exploring ways to use generative AI to streamline the game development process.
Using Artificial Intelligence (more like Realistic Stupidity) art assets in your games is a great way to get people to boycott your product. We don't need that ugly, unsophisticated, generic, fake art in our games, good on CAPCOM for not using that garbage.
Naw you can't fool us, You work with Nvidia, that's a fact! And here you wanted to advertise but now look stupid!
I aint tryna hear that. Its not good.
This is what happens from so Called ''reboots''
Dumbed down Gameplay for all the Mass so they can milk the sh1t out of it for the Newbies.
sad day for any DMC Fan.
because microsoft said that hardcore gamers are "Sweaty 30 Year Olds In Metallica T-shirts" and possible emos XD
"The truth of the matter is that the "Devil May Cry" games haven't really changed very much since the first game launched in 2001."
- Halo hasn't changed much since the game launched back in 2001. Yet the game is perfectly fine, gets good score and the fans love it.
"They've also been notoriously insular and nearly impossible to approach for newcomers, even at the easiest difficulty levels."
- Because the game is made with the fans in mind? Seriously anyone who played the first DMC could easily steamrolled through the second and beat the third no problem. The fourth was the next to the second the easiest. Not our fault you suck. Stick to Dynasty Warrior if that's easier for ya.
"That's not to mention the games' storylines, which are about as tough to follow as The Rocketeer after he's had a few drinks. "
- The story are not meant to be you're generic, ladies man save the the world from evil demonic bad guy type of stories. They are more complex with a lot of background story behind the characters which is what makes the game great.
"Frankly, they've hit a wall, and new blood, be it a western or eastern developer, is a good thing for a franchise that has fallen into complacency."
- Sadly this is coming from someone who is not a fan of the series and is simply looking for hits on their site. Get lost.

I'm guessing this guy hasn't played DMC3. DMC3 introduced different combat skills like the doppelganger/royal guard/trickster, more diverse weapons like the guitar, and great, varied amount of boss fights. Also, DMC4 had Nero with his hands being able to grab enemies and jump over obstacles. He sort of had like a different fighting style.
And having a Twilight lead character is not helping the series.
The thing is though DMC isn't in need of a reboot, I was excited when i found out NT was going to be working on the next DMC then I seen it was a reboot and decided that if NT don't listen to the fans then i will lose all respect for them.
