Insomniac's Ratchet & Clank titles are known for their creativity, weapons, and colorful environments. They are also known for the Laugh-Out-Loud sexual innuendos in the game's titles (Eg. Going Commando, Up Your Arsenal, Size Matters). Insomniac's last installment in the Ratchet & Clank franchise, A Crack in Time, didn't have any innuendo in the title. Why? Well, it seems like they have a... "new" way of expressing their naughty-ness. In A Crack in Time, you can see strange alien writing on the walls and floors on most of the planets. Are they just their to make the environments look more colorful? Or do they actually mean something? As many of you Jak and Daxter fans know, Naughty Dog made their own "Precursor" font, which can be used to translate some of the weird writing found throughout the game. It seems like Insomniac made their own "Zoni" font, introduced in A Crack in Time, which can be used to translate the alien writing found on most of the planets.
New reports indicate that Sony Interactive Entertainment and Insomniac Games may still have Marvel's Venom in development.

Matt Miller writes: "We interviewed the general manager of Marvel Games for insight into several of the big projects the team has been working to bring to life, and where the games division is headed next."

For a mutant who can't die, how will Insomniac Games adjust the healing mechanic in Marvel's Wolverine?
Knocked out is still an option. So are being captured or restrained. Then there's potential for fatigue being a factor or just putting limits on how many times you can come back from healing quickly, making it also something you upgrade throughout the game.
Really not a hard thing to gamify, honestly. Just look at the last wolverine game.
Probably just have a health bar, only a tiny minority will probably be bothered by "oh but adanced healing" nonsense
Injustice was successful, people didn't cry about superman being beaten by humans
Ive seen enough to know that whatever they do will focus heavily on insane combos and dismemberments and all kinds of cool shit we wish we'd seen years ago as wolverine fans.
This is in great hands, all open world games get stale, I'm sure this game is going to be GOTY contender because of the talent behind it, but I hope its doesn't fall into any traps that make the world feel empty or underutilized.
LFG tho!! EXCITED.
Of all the things to worry about, this feels like the lowest ebb. I’d perhaps be more concerned about how they can find enough variety in the combat mechanics to stop a 10-12 hour game from becoming a bit samey, even if they get that main combat gameplay loop to be incredibly satisfying.
Obviously Wolverines claws will remain the main combat method, but thinking about how God of War benefited from (and differentiated itself from predecessor’s) by increased verticality in combat and also ranged attack mechanics, I’d be interested to see what Insomniac can come up with.
Interesting to hear to views os such an experienced game developer/designer.........wha t's that, you just a random dude off the internet....
nice find.
Haha! This is really col. Going to have to go in and decode some myself. Some of them seem rather, uh, interesting, lol!
haha, insomniac are such pervs. its a wonder they are not japanese XD. they're so awesome though. cant wait for resistance 3.
On the old Listen Up podcast, the dudes at Insomniac behind A Crack in Time said they had to scrap their favorite name for the game - "Clock Blockers."

That would have been an excellent title. The crew decided that the best way to keep that name in the title would be for someone to win the "Design a Weapon" contest and name the weapon "The Clock Blocker." I was sorely disappointed when a Clock Blocker wasn't in the game!
Lol, they put the Konami code in there. xD
