Xbox 360 RPG Wish List

All previous Knights of the Old Republic and Jade Empire games have NEVER been ported over to Playstation. So, Knights of the Old Republic and Jade Empire are native, authentic, original Xbox IPs.

So, you can't say putting Knights of the Old Republic III and Jade Empire II on the RPG wish list as "a Xbox site drooling over PlayStation format titles."

What are you talking about?? Why bc FF is on the list. FF is already on the 360. And two of the games mentioned were XBOX1 games such as Jade Empire 2, and KOTOR 3. Not to mention they were talking about true sequels to Phantasy Star and Shining force, which are Sega games.

Did you even read the article??

Chances are you have never even played the first 6 Final Fantasy games but probably claim to be a fan. As 2 of them were only released in Japan. And Shining Force and the Phantasy Star series was a staple for Sega consoles which I would bet you have played none of them.

That is EXACTLY waht I say to PS3 rpg fans. "Have you ever played the first six?" Like 90 percent of them have never even heard of the series till part 7 came out.

all of those games suck!!! except for KOTOR, where the hell was Fable 2.
FF games all suck, I hate turn based startagy rpgs.
Fable 2 should have def. made that list.

any remake or re-release of Skies of Arcadia, but it was already done on the GameCube. Too soon for another. :(

and a bubble for you. Skies of Arcadia was a real gem. It was made by the original Phantasy Star team. A lot of people don't realize that.

Skies of arcadia was great, cheezy but good game none the less. However, i wouldn't really call the gamecube version a "remake" it felt and looked alot like a port if anything.

yeah. I bought Skies 3 times. once on DC, then again on GC, but i got rid of all the GC games, but when i got my wii i got Skies again. But even the GC Skies, isnt a true sequal just the first game, with added stuff.
They need a full game

KOTOR III would be amazing (!!!), Bioware rocks. I'm not a *huge* RPG fan, never liked the FF series.... but loved Fable & *especially* KOTOR.

MASS EFFECT will be the only RPG I need, but I'll definately get Fable 2 & Fallout 3 & Two Worlds as well. IMHO, I dont care for Blue Dragon & Eternal Sonata & Final Fantasy style stuff... but Mass Effect & KOTOR ROCK !!!

I guess I don't care for JRPG's too much like Captain Tuttle said.

agreed it will be glorious indeed, will we follow the guy from KOTOR2 into the mysterious place ot will we play Revan as he goes beyond good and evil or is it a new person entirely? What about Bastila?(canon is the good ending so she is probably still alive). I remember trying to save her in the first game, damn she was so depressed in the end, not exact quote "one little light in an ocean of darkness why should I live?". I would like HK47 to come back too.

@Blackjack, you might want to skip Two Worlds, reading european reviews it doesn't look like a good game(the devs boasted about it being better than Oblivion, reminds me of Haze)

A lot of what they mentioned are multi-platform.

Skies of Arcadia= doubt it they would have made a sequal on Xobx or PS2 by now.

Phantasy Star= It would be multi-platform

Shenmue= heard awhile ago they they will be making it for 360 and im sure it will be good.

Chrono series= If they make a new one it would be a Playstation exclusive. Anyone remember Chrono Cross?Yeah a PS1 exclusive.

Just speculations of course.

But most of what hey listed weren't really that great in my opinion.

i would love to see a Chrono game. I think the only reason why it was exclusive, is because there werent any other contenders. xbox wasnt that interested in RPGs. and the install base of GC wasnt even there.
So hoepfully if they do a new one, it will be multi-platform

Um, don't forget Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance 1 & 2. Both were better than average RPGs. Also, Dungeons and Dragons Heroes wasn't bad, even if it was too short.

As for all of this BS from Meus about "Yet another Xbox site drooling over PlayStation format titles..." Well...think about it.

Sony may have had some of the best RPGs on the PS1 and PS2, but that doesn't mean that they have exclusive rights to quality RPGs. (Hell, before the Playstation systems, there were plenty of PC RPGs. By that logic, Sony stole "PC format titles").

360 will have its share of good RPGs before long: already, it has the incredible Oblivion, soon will have Mass Effect, with the promising Blue Dragon, Lost Odyssey, Eternal Sonata on the horizon...and then Fable 2...Last Remnant...KOTOR 3 and Jade Empire 2 possible...

Bring Skies of Arcadia to the 360, and I'll have a total geekgasm...

And don't completely count out FFXIII...money talks louder than loyalty more often than not...even as a delayed exclusive.

Shenmue would be nice, but I think I heard it wasn't in the works, but who knows these days...360 should get its own RPG goodies and identity...Mass Effect is an absolute huge step in the right direction...Jade Empire 2 would be welcome of course...Oblivion 5 anyone? Cry On and Infinite Undiscovery both sound ace...I'm down with the new stuff, ya know?

I'd love to see Suikoden on Xbox 360. Unlikely because Japan is its target market, but I really don't want to shell out another $600 for a console package when simply porting Suiko to 360 would save me the expense.

isn't 5 already on the PS2? Problem with most JRPG games is that they are targeting Japan and 360 is not strong enough in Japan for them to make them on the 360

Yeah, Suikoden ain't going anywhere, I don't think. The games take so much from their predecessors, storyline and setting-wise, that I doubt it'll change platform.

And, hey, the PS3 is only a couple of hundred more than the 360.

I don't think 360 needs a list. Its getting Fallout 3 and in my book that could be the best RPG ever since Fallout 2.
But KOTOR 3 would be instantly welcome.
Also Chrono & Oasis.

But really, 360 is getting all the RPG love it needs. Aside from Fallout 3, it's also getting the uber Mass Effect and Fable 2. Not to mention Lost Odyssey and Blue Dragon.

It is one thing for a good argument or debate, however you want to view it, but that is childish. It was my mistake that I did not read the article, but just looked at the title's of the games. The headline had just clearly read "XBOX 360 RPG wish list. I am not stupid or an idiot.

Is that they all think MS fans want their cheezy JRPGS even though JRPGS suck. You guys need to get it through to your heads. They were good until the PS1 but now they are way too overhyped and the companies are churning out complete crap. PS fans need to get a 360 to see what American RPGS are like as they're way better. I'm sorry I have a PS3 as well but I hate JRPGS. Used to love them but now? Meh. Don't care. I'm trying to get my brother off them as well. Face it, Final Fantasy has been going down the wrong path recently.

JRPG's don't (never did) do anything for me either. I tried the Blue Dragon demo and found it unplayable. The least fun that I've had in a demo since that awful Gundum game.

Fully agree with you on that demo. At times I absolutely TRY to enjoy a JRPG once in a while but I just can't do it. I was looking forward to BD but when I tried it, I turned it off in about 10 minutes. The game was way to slow. The fact that your animals attack for you was a stupid idea too I think. Western RPGs for me. Swords and sorcery not Science and technology.

Don't count out Aracanum...brilliant RPG for the PC. Steampunk in a world where technology and magic are colliding. One of the best out there IMHO.

Usually the Final fantasy games are a mix of magic, weapons and technological areas (e.g those flying boats.)

Yes but the thing is that Mass Effect is not turn based like so many JRPGs. I really don't like random battles when the screen stops, takes time to load up the battle screen and then proceed into a long, boring battle. Okay, I take back the futuristic technology comment. I don't mind it, but I guess what I meant to say is that I prefer the medieval side of the FF series and not the futuristic, random battles of the FF games these days. But Mass Effect doesn't have random encounters which makes the game more western and preffered imo and looks to give a unique twist on rpgs which is different than traditional Japanese futuristic rpgs.
