A price drop can be news, but going from $60 to $50 is likely NOT going to make anyone rush out and pick this up.

CoffeewithChess5740d ago (Edited 5740d ago )

I'm still seeing it listed at $59.99 on Amazon.com and GameStop.com.

The link didn't really provide anything to show where this is happening either...

barom5740d ago

agree with both of u, lets vote the site down please. Let's try to root out the trash.

Damn i was hoping for a $30 greatest hits price or at least $40, oh well i'm sure it'll get there.

BISHOP-BRASIL5740d ago

Probably next year. Actually I'm pretty amazed it maintained it's right price for so long when so many people were downplaying it for a long QTE movie... It obviously sold more than indutry expected, should be enough to grant it a greatest hits version.

I think I remember reading somewhere where the dude who heads Quantic Dream said they originally projected sales to be between 200k to 300k then was amazed that they've since sold over a million.

Forbidden_Darkness5740d ago

I'm buying the Move edition when it comes out :)

DlocDaBudSmoka5740d ago

New-Breed5740d ago

I lost my copy a while ago so I'll take this opportunity to nab a new one

Quagmire5740d ago

...

how the fuck can someone lose a PS3 game? And Heavy Rain of all games?

ontopic: Im dissapoint at Cage's lack of DLC, however Im hoping his next epic will be better, if not as good as heavy rain.

N4BmpS5740d ago

(Bad joke alert) Some one has an origami robber.

I have yet too play this game whole, it's in my head to buy the Move Edition.

Neko_Mega5740d ago

It will go down alittle more in price when Heavy Rain Move Ed. comes out.

I mean it would be a good idea to do that, not saying it will happen. I had to sale my copy -_- now it is on my long list of "Must Rebuy Games".

pr0digyZA5740d ago

I saw in my magazine in SA that the move edition is the price of a platinum game with extra content so I think you are right, Its like LBP game of the year edition new content a lot better price.

Please stop comparing video games to movies

"Many video games catch not only great commercial attention but remarkable critical attention as well. We have seen games like Heavy Rain, The Last of Us Part II, and even entries in the Metal Gear series described as fantastic interactive experiences, even heralded in the same way as Hollywood's greatest films.

I would suggest that not only is this an unfair comparison but also a harmful one. Video games, by their very nature, are an intricately different medium and should be weighed against one another rather than another form of media," Phillip writes for GF365.

Yes, please stop. They're better than most hollywood drivel nowadays.

BLAKHOODe2024d ago

I think Hollywood films will becoming increasingly more like video games in the future, especially as the world embraces the "new normal" from the pandemic. It makes sense, as games like Spider-Man: Miles Morales showcase just how realistically we're reaching in graphical capabilities, as well as showcase extreme action sequences in spectacular ways. And as time goes by, it'll get easier and cheaper to produce such "art", as well as create new star "actors" that never age, never die, never complain, never gets involved in scandals, etc. Technology is amazing and we're only just getting a taste of what it'll eventually be.

No. Some games are like movies.

medman2023d ago (Edited 2023d ago )

No. For the money spent, a quality game provides far more entertainment value than a quality movie. Especially when looking at what is going on in the world, and how a studio can attempt to pilfer from consumers by charging 30 dollars for Mulan via streaming. Ridiculous. There is no comparison....games all day.
