The goal of this article is to address weapon balance issues observed and discussed among players since Halo CE's release years ago. Halo 1 is much better balanced than Halo 2, but that's not saying much.
The primary criticism is that the majority of the weapons in the game have a massive deficiency in accuracy which makes them useless compared to the Pistol, Rocket Launcher, and Sniper Rifle. Sure, there are niche situations where the Assault Rifle, Plasma Rifle, Plasma Pistol, and Needler are somewhat useful, but they are far and few between. They are meant for close range encounters, but with spreads of 5-6 degrees a significant portion of their damage output doesn't make it to the target even at shorter distances, and weapons like the Pistol can easily outgun them even where they are supposed to excel.
Thus, a mod has been made, the majority of the changes geared towards reducing the spread values of the weapon set as a whole, making the non-pistol and non-sniper rifle weapons more evenly effective at mid-range so that using these weapons effectively is more skilled than rock-scissors-paper spray-and-pray, and the game is more varied than the pistol-exclusive duals we're used to.

GOG appears to be teasing potential re-releases of Konami's survival horror game, Silent Hill, and Xbox Game Studios' Halo: Combat Evolved.
It's crazy to think that GOG will have Silent Hill 1/2/4, Dino Crisis 2, and Resident Evil 2/3 before the PSN. What the actual fudge is Sony even doing over there?
I will probably pick up Silent Hill 1 right away if GOG gets it, I grabbed BOF4 as soon as it was released, haven't picked up Dino Crisis yet since I already bought it on PS.

Xbox Game Studios' Halo: Combat Evolved Remake is reportedly planned to release in late 2026 to celebrate 25 years of Xbox.
They coulda started with Halo 3 remake ... I know Halo CE remaster was not proper with the art style but still, remaking after a remaster seems dull, when Halo 3 and Reach have started to show some age.

A new Halo Combat Evolved glitch has been discovered that allows players to control the iconic Halo ring itself.
Is perfect. When I played the Beta everything felt perfect. Especially since there were plenty of Carbines and BRs to go around.
How to FIX halo's MP? Lol? Are u joking?
Halo 2 is one the best multiplayer games out there
even with its flaws
and Halo 3 multiplayer....speechless
This dude must have never used a gun in real life. There is a thing called recoil. His mods would make the game feel fake. No gun shoots perfectly straight if you hold down the trigger, or even burst fire.
