Who would have figured. Even if the game is only your average FPS game it will be praised like we do not have enough high caliber FPS games to play. It may turn out to be a good fun game but as already shown it will be over-hyped and overblown by the FPS die-hard media and fans.

A shame lesser known high quality games get ignored for more FPS coverage.

Its like if we were to have 50 uncharted type games or God of war type games. I enjoyed those games but I wouldn't be so ecstatic to play yet another game in the same genre after playing more than 10 types of those games already in a gens fourth year. I like variety.

Too many FPS games this gen with more to come because the FPS fanatics can't stop buying them and the media can't stop over-hyping them. The main reason this gen is not as good as previous gens.

This game is a guilty pleasure.

As usual it's a story of one egomaniac that chased perfection to near bankruptcy trying to follow industry trends and engines instead of just putting out a good albeit flawed game in 2001. It had to be the best and ended up as the most average game I've ever played which felt heavily dated on day 1

A big middle finger from the past to all the woke culture, we miss you Duke.

It took forever so I doubt it can be since it took so long. Even an AAA game in development hell that takes long will look and play pretty dated 90% of the time. The toolset and options with the lighting makes it better, but the gameplay was just meh.

Game is garbage. Realistic Ness destroys a game like this Duke can only hold two guns what a joke. I’d rather wash 2001 Duke Newcomb Forever trailer then play this game again. It’s a shame I’ve been waiting for duke nukem forever 2001 for a long time they should’ve just released it and not worried about having the latest game engine and just did their thing

DKF is the worst shooter I've ever played. The only thing it was "ahead of it's time" in was being released as a complete craptastic disappointment that wasn't worth the hype or the wait.

I actually did enjoyed the game for a bit. I got it in a sale for like $5. It has some fun moments. I would encourage trying it out.

If they just released the original build the series might still be relevant today.

But of course, the lead designer/project lead had to be pretentious and think he was the god of the games industry of the time.
