Kotaku: The first Valkyria Chronicles game was set in an alternative version of Europe in the year 1935. Could this Japanese teaser site with "Code 1935" in its URL be for Valkyria Chronicles 3?

I mean, PSP is cool and all, but I don't own one nor do I care to own one.
Release the good RPGs on my PS3. kthnx.

I just hope it sees a world wide release seeing as it barely sold outside of Japan. I loved the first title and would go as far as to say its one of the best exclusives you can play on PS3.

Anyone who hasn't played the first game needs to play it NOW!!!! You really are missing out.

Uh ? Barely sold outside of Japan ? It sold twice as much in the US than in Japan and is now probably around the million worldwide. I say for an overlooked game, from an overlooked genre, with no advertising whatsoever but word of mouth, it did pretty well.

It's the only JRPG this gen on HD consoles that isn't Final Fantasy and has managed to pass the 900,000 units sold bracket. Pretty sure thats good sales. No doubt this time around it will pass the 1 million mark.

Lost Odyssey, Demon's Souls and White Knight are all around 700-800K. Star Ocean is probably over a million on both platforms combined.

Demon's Souls and White Knight (which hasn't even had a price drop yet - most games have another sales rush when prices get slashed) could near or pass a million if they get "Greatest Hit" status. Pretty sure Sony lowered the requirement to 700K now.

Cool thing about JRPGs (Western RPGs tend to get more exposure, so they can be 'top heavy' in sales) is that they tend to have long legs. People don't always pick them up right away because of the time commitment involved.
