Yeah I though the same thing, this game doesn't track your body motion and accurately portray it on screen, it uses gesture recognition to tell if your body made the correct shape in time. When he starts adding in extra moves in between, the character on screen doesn't copy him.

Once again, the idea behind the game doesn't quite match up to what you actually get for your money. I am willing to bet this will be a trend for kinect games.

I looked at the good reviews of move sports champions and did not notice anyone trying to spoil the good mood in there but it seems this article is being dominated by ps3 fans trying to ruin kinect cheer. Why is this?

Many analysts are predicting Kinect could sell 4-5 million units this holiday...Dance Central will be a BIG part of that number. Could you imagine what Sony Wii Move would look like trying to copy this...lol. Pom Poms for everyone.

I have realized that the only people supporting Kinect in this site are Xbox fanboys with one bubble! Everyone else is skeptical. I don't know, I'm just pointing that out!

As for me, I haven't seen anything from Kinect that impresses me.

Well thats obvious since if you support Xbox or anything MS related (e.g. Kinect) your bubbles will be reduced to one.

There are likely more people excited about Kinect in this site but are too scared to comment because of how their bubbles will be taken away.

@commodore64: If that were true, I'd have only 1 bubble as well since my viewpoints tend to piss off both sides more than anything. Just look at my recent level of disagrees in regards to the $10 hike to XBL.

Honestly, it's the way people post, in a trollish fashion, that gets them a low bubble count. And, you have a long history of egging on the PS3 fanboys, complaining about how they control N4G, and general trolling with comments like "so the move has casual games at launch, just like kinect?" or "Too much hype and not enough substance, it seems. It's weird, but wasn't that exactly what PS3 fans were criticising Kinect for?".

If you were instead to focus on the topic at hand rather than trying to compare it to something MS-created, you might have more bubbles.

I think it has to do more with the intelligence of you comments or how witty you are... if you're going to be contradictory have something to back it up... such as Kinect has 100k preorders with 10 weeks left and that's almost 4 times more then the Move has with 2 weeks left(at the time of the latest preorder)Kinect will do well and this game will likely do just as well it may even sell near 1:1 at least I'm getting it and if you're single male with no dance skills you should probably get it to

I am not a fan of Kenect, but it is obvious that the Sony fans have a hate campaign against Kenect.. its not just "Everyone else is skeptical" it is pure hatred for anything MS. Skeptics will be cautious and have a wait and see attitude.. Sonyfanboy haters on the other hand have already negatively judged the product, and promote hatred towards it.

I dont like move either, but you dont see me hating. And about your theory that only xbox fanboys support Kenect with one bubble.. it is bullsh$% that you use that to attack their credibility.. mainly because if you say anything pro MS you will be attacked in N4G, thus those who support Ms will more likely have less bubbles. If you want more bubbles you either suck Sony ass, or try to be painfully neutral in your comments.. otherwise you will loose bubbles.

but every single gaming podcast ive listened to since the unveil of Dance Central have sung this games praises as being a truly great experience while the rest of the kinect games are pretty poor. Plus its Harmonix and Harmonix are the kings of cool. Both Kinect and Move in my mind are like new platforms for developers to get a hold of and build games for and it seems that in the right hands both are capable of some great stuff, I just dont want to put the money down hoping something great will arrive someday.

The character on screen isnt copying you, your copying them. The small figure you see top right of the screen in green or purple etc is you and Kinect marks you on your accuracy to the Dance Moves been shown to you. So the Kinect sensor is taking into account the motion of your whole body but not to control an onscreen character.

You can say what ever you want but this is made for casual gamers and make your girlfriend to play with you and they are getting it because i see how the people are enjoying this games in every video so they will sell and they will sell a lot!

To the Casual Gamer this is insane. To the young female teenager it will be like pure gold. I can already picture how many adolescent teenagers will beg their parents to get this game. Singstar was huge in Europe, and I can see this becoming another popular thing. It will also appeal to people who think this can teach them how to really dance or people who have just started on the club scene lol.

As from my point of view. It does look like these games have advanced quite a bit from Konami's Dance Dance revolution. I am quite impressed by it, but have to see it closer. It seems the song doesn't stop and you don't even have to dance for you to continue. The freestyle thing... im not even sure how that works. Will need to see what its actually like before contemplating whether it is win or fail.

To this day i still can't comprehend the amount of attention PS3 fans give to the Xbox 360 & it's games. If you hate EVERYTHING Xbox then why in the world would you follow the consoles every move? Any guesses?? ;)

This is clearly aimed at the casual market, as is Kinect it seems. It's not a game I would purchase.

However, look how much fun they are having. If they market this right, it could be a massive seller.
