Over the last couple of months it is safe to say that the majority of gamers have been bored out of their mind. Good games have been few and far between, but that is all about to change. The holiday season is fast approaching and that means that the clean up hitters are coming up to bat. Unless you are made of money, it's going to be difficult to decide what games to pick up and why. BattleStrats is here to break it down for you so you will know which games you need to purchase and which games to put on your wish list for Santa Claus.

Licensing issues often leave many games forgotten. But all that aside, here are 10 classic games desperate for remasters.
The getaway
Smugglers run
Dead to rights
Worlds scariest police chases
Sure I’m missing a few.
Ape Escape.
Fun game but, wow, you need a college degree to understand the controls.
A remaster would also save you from having to constantly fight the camera.
Keep the music though. Those drum and bass tracks fit really well and haven't aged. Made me think that more games could work well with drum and bass tracks, but unfortunately it's a somewhat niche genre now.
Xenogears, Xenosaga trilogy, Vagrant Story, Drakengards, Parasite Eve and many more but I’ll start with those
The gaming industry moves at such a pace that it’s not surprising we’ve seen countless franchises fall into obscurity over the years.
There is a rumour that Driver 1 & 2 remasters will be released for Switch and presumably for other systems as well.

Not sure however whether this results into new games in the near future.
Ninja Gaiden? Splinter Cell? Tenchu? Virtua Fighter? Killer Instinct? Killzone?

The Black Ops series has featured some of the best and classic multiplayer maps in the Call of Duty franchise, and here's the top of them.
Uhhhh... what about Metroid: Other M?????? Wii, forgotten again...
Rock Band 3 is apparently a 'must have' but not Civ 5?
Fail
Typical yanks, they leave out F1 2010 because the cars turn right and brake.
Well this list isn't a total fail good to see Rock Band 3, GT5, Move, LBP2 on the list. I will probably pick up Black Ops if the reviews are great but It's not really a must own. The list is lacking The Sly Collection and God Of War: Ghost Of Sparta.
Terrible year for gaming. Everything good was in the first quarter. Everything else is just crappy sequels that don't need to be made. Fable 3 is the only thing on this list I am remotely interested if it turns out to be good, and even then I probably wont buy it.
The only two other games that look okay but are very questionable how they will turn out are Two Worlds 2 and Arcania, which seem almost interchangeable at this point. We'll see which one turns out to be better, or rather, less cheesy.
Why is it that Americans just want to play the same game over and over and only when it's extremely popular? Another Halo? Another Call of Duty? Another Medal of Honor? Another Rock Band? A Fallout 3 spinoff, an Assassin's Creed spinoff...sigh.
