Much like the public perception of geeks, animé otakus, rappers and even furries, there are a lot of assumptions made about gamers. A lot of it is true (or at least in some part based on a truth) but a good deal of it is also assumed. It's these assumptions that often times give gamers, as well as other groups, a raised eyebrow. It's time to separate some of the signal from the noise and weed out a handful of these incorrect assumptions.
