Five Really Lame Boss Battles

Let's face it, not every boss battle poses a challenge to the almighty gamer. From easy fights to one hit kills, join us as we count down the five lamest we have encountered.

Spaghett5736d ago

I enjoyed most of those. El Gigante may have repeated buy I always enjoyed fighting him.

NewNameNow5736d ago

What I really meant was they were disappointing, I expected something and what I got was totally different in terms of difficulty.

Nike5736d ago

@alirazaqpur:

Here's your grammar mistakes, since the reporting box is too small (and it looks like you went back and corrected a bunch of them). The bracketed segments are the corrected portions.

"When you come face to face with King Koopa, it's as easy [as] jumping over him."

"Geno can take Exor out with one special move. Sure it's sweet you can [deal] that much damage..."

"Unfortunately not one of these battles was difficult, there was no technique to beating the boss[.] [It] was just a straightforward battle."

"This battle absolutely takes the cake when talking [about] lame boss fights."

"After 50+ hours of suspenseful gameplay and story[,]"

Also, you're apparently confusing 'easy' boss battles with 'lame' boss battles.

NewNameNow5736d ago

Easy and by extension lame. Does it matter how I title it?

It's hard to find all of them when you're reading through after you just wrote it. You sort of expect what was in your head to already be there.

Cheers anyways

Urmomlol5736d ago

Wow, then proof read your stuff before you post it. Or hire an editor. Or something. Don't just post it without bothering to look for glaringly obvious errors.

PS3Freak5735d ago

"Unfortunately not one of these battles was difficult, there was no technique to beating the boss[.] [It] was just a straightforward battle."

This sentance should either say; "Unfortunately not a single one of these battles were difficult..." or " Unfortunately none of these battles were difficult..." or you could have replaced the was with were in the original statement.

If you're going to be the grammer police, make sure you don't miss anything Nike.

go fight the Flamelurker in Demonsouls alone buddy. try fighting him in newgame+ alone, its nearly impossible. one has no choice but to summon 2 online players to aid you in this battle. i know i had to and barely made it out alive.

writersblock5735d ago

He made a few spelling and grammar mistakes. More than usual, sure, but I can attest to what he is saying about not finding them in something you write yourself

Anyways, the most dissapointing fight I've had would be the Dragon God in Demon's Souls

You dont even fight him, just dodge attacks to scripted cutscenes, then once he's down you can even 1-hit him on NG+

^^^^ Guy above, cmon
Flame Lurker gets easier every time I fight him. Roll away from the fireball, wait for the 2 handed swipe, and dual hand him with the sword. He never dodges forward, so all you have to do to avoid hits is roll backward

Edit: Screw what I put here the first time.

I have FOUR bubbles now! FOUR! What did I do?

Acquiescence5735d ago

I lost two bubbles in one day just for making some harmless, trivial remarks. It all comes down to the moderator and what he personally finds immature or offensive or trollish. Because it doesn't take much observation to realize that half the comments underneath any article could realistically be marked down for any of these reasons, or even bad language.

What I'm getting at is that it's very a selective system. Luck of the draw. And thus, incredibly flawed.

writersblock5735d ago

The ARTICLE was one about video game endings, then I mentioned someone died at the end of RDR (didnt even say his name)

Lost 1 bubble there, then lost another because someone applauded american soldiers killing civilians on that Medal of Honor Reality thing a while back and I told him off for it

-_-

Nicky75735d ago

Most last boss battles this gen have been lame

Gears 1 + 2
Killzone 2
RE5
Uncharted 2
Mass Effect 1 + 2
God of war 3

I'm not bashing the quality of these games, they are good games. Just have rubbish bosses at the end of the game. Feel free to add more, the list goes on and on.

LeonSKennedy4Life5735d ago

I agree with most. I think Radec was actually a great fight though.

thedisagreefairy5735d ago

was a great boss battle. very challenging.

da305kratos5735d ago

God of war 3 battle with zues was good. you got to remember that the fight with him begins on olympus with the side scrolling part of the match, as a whole it was good. Maybe even great to some....

NewNameNow5735d ago

That battle was crazy! I died like 20x!!

Bandit035735d ago

This article deserves one big WAHHH

Five Games I'd Love To See On the Neo Geo AES+

These classics need to make a return.

Blues Journey is the game I'd like to see.

Popsicle18d ago

Pre-ordered mine a few days ago. Love this concept and hope there are more games announced. I can’t justify paying the prices for games that collectors are asking for. It’s the primary reason I own almost every console except the Neo Geo.

Agent7518d ago

I've pre ordered one here in the UK, no games though, as I'll move it on for a higher price. The white model looks awesome, but as expected, the price is too high. We'll probably see more of those all in one cartridges from China containing every AES game. In the UK, AES+ game at £70 ($95) is better than eye watering prices for the originals, but these games are so old and I can honestly say SNK didn't release many classics. The Metal Slug series is the only series I rate, there were just too many Street Fighter clones and not enough scrolling fighting games. Overall, the Neo Geo was poor for all genres apart from one on one fighters. Videos on YouTube asking for games from that console generation to be ported to the AES+, but who'd want to pay £70 for Mortal Kombat and Street Fighter 2? There's a lot of SNK collections out there, the best being Metal Slug Anthology on the PlayStation 2. The Street Fighter Anniversary Collection on the Switch contains 12 games for around £30, instead of £840 if released on the AES+. For collectors, the AES+ is the best news since sliced bread. Are there enough SNK fans out there? Nowhere near. Those £70 cartridges will soon start creeping up in price and it'll be a re-run of the original console.

I always wanted one in the 90's but couldn't afford it. Now i can but i think if i get one it will be collecting dust fast. It's a nostalgia thing i guess.

Why the Wii is Such a Nostalgic System in 2026

The Wii is now a retro console. Let’s get nostalgic about an often maligned system.

Crazy to think the WII is to the Switch 2, as the NES was to the WII back then. 20 Year difference.

jznrpg21d ago

My wife asks me to bust it out (heh) everyone once in a while to play bowling and tennis with the kids. There was a ton of slop on it but some good stuff as well.

Smellsforfree21d ago

Wii was great but boy howdy did it cause Microsoft to go on a dark walk with the Kinect and the disastrous XBox One launch that they arguably never recovered from.

Loktai21d ago

Not nostalgic for me.. I was there.. anyone who wasnt a little kid realized it was a gamecube with shit tacked onto it, it was the "joke" system and was well below even the switch in terms of comparing it to the latest machines at the time. The machine was well loved by young people and "casual gamers" who now remember it 20 years on, or in most cases more of its sales came in the 15-20 years ago range not right at launch- but again its not nostalgic for people who were "gamers" then really, just for those who ended up with one in their house, the games , graphics, interface and online features were archaic already in 2006.
